U of L Receives Notice From NCAA

Recommended Posts

The NCAA has little credibility left. The bigger programs seem to have the budget to fight off taking too big a hit. The Cards being the recent exception. They were hit hard last time because they cooperated along with a lot of witnesses. They wont make that mistake again.

UNC fake classes. No problem. Duke recruit's family ending up with a major house upgrade. Nothing to see there. Kids at uk driving $300k cars after the season - that happens at every program.

Watch as Kansas and the Cards fight this round to the bitter end. It will be a good test to see if anything has changed. The Cards coming off a resent hit may be in a weaker position though.

Yeah! The NCAA is a complete joke!! It is absolutely mind numbing what these big name schools get away with!!

They’ve got stones to get busted and apparently almost immediately start doing wrong again even under a new coach. Shows you they have ZERO fear or respect towards the NCAA. What a scam.

I thought this was more of the same from the Bowen case? If so, the new coach isn’t at fault, but he should’ve known going into it...

It is. Louisville is basically going to say we already did everything we needed to do. If you (NCAA) have an issue with anything else he's at Iona. Problem is committing violations while on probation from other violations is supposed to be a major no no. Problem is for me and I'm assuming everyone else is who actually believes the NCAA will do anything at all?

Hasn't slowed Louisville or Mack down one bit...Mohammad, Kaufman,etc...4 4 star recruits locked up for 20 and 21 classes.

Chris Mack had nothing to do with this.  He's basically dealing with many of the restrictions Crean had after taking over for Sampson.  The big difference being he did not lose the entire roster before taking over.  But, he's definitely having to walk on the right side of the line.

These are the Bowen infractions they committed while on probation for stripper gate. That used to be the death penalty but they should get some mitigation, perhaps some post season bans or scholarship reductions.

IMO, the NCAA should pursue this as a lack of institutional control situation.  I don't give a tinker's damn WHAT U.L. did (firing A.D., coach, etc.).  They committed a severe violation while on probation for a previous offense.

That said, the NCAA is "nutless" and will probably perform a little kabuke theater to make themselves look tough but in the end U.L. gets away with little consequence.

But but but Crean was a perfect angel!

Well.  Crean allowing Johnson to leave for Louisville for more money, without attempting a counter offer.... may have been one of the best moves of Coach Crean's time at IU.

And thanks for being a HSN 3.0 member as long as you have been.
