Officer Obie
Rowinski played at Purdue for 30 years I think.

The late 1970s through the mid 1990s were the height of the steroid era. The tragedy of Denver Smith in 1983, a great guy (and huge man) who lived on my dorm floor, shot to death by Bloomington police when threatening people in the street with a tire iron. Tony Mandarich dominating college and the combine, only to be a pro bust due to NFL steroid testing Also, saw it personally on my high school wrestling team in the late 70s. No direct knowledge of Rowinski, but you just don't see guys built like that any more.

IUFLA
Well, let's not poke fun at cheerleading championships...if it weren't for them, Purdue would only have 4 total team NCAA Championships (and that's including the mythical Helms Banner in 1932 for men's basketball)...
