Week 1 Penn St at IU

Week 2 IU at Rutgers

Week 3 Michigan at IU....

Week 4 IU at MSU

So far I like the balance.

Week 5 IU at Ohio St.

Week 6 Maryland at IU

At this point we know what life is like in the East....but great balance. The season can't get away from us. Worse case at this point I see 3-3. Knock off one of Penn St or Michigan and 4-2. We know Purdue is still left. I'm assuming we'll have a crossover at Iowa or at Wisconsin.

Week 7 IU at Wisconsin as expected

Week 8 assuming Purdue at IU...

Week 9 is the crossover weekend. Boy I'd love to get Illinois or Nebraska in week 9 in Bloomington.

I see a tough but fair schedule. No stretches of 2-3 losses in a row. 4-4 before week 9 but get one of Penn St or Michigan I see and we're looking at 5-3 with a game probably vs Illinois or Nebraska if they survive.

Nebraska wanted football so bad? They wanted to sue? I'd say at Ohio St, home with Sconny, at Northwestern, and home with Penn St is a pretty tough start for Frosty.

Part of me wants to think that the powers that be in the B1G wanted to send a message to Nebraska...that schedule is brutal for them

All day long. No friendly schedule for Michigan either. If there's such a thing as being treated fair in the East....I think we did pretty good. I mean Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, Wisconsin are 4 teams who will probably spend time in top 10 this year if not all season.....but at least we have 4 very winnable games. 2 shots at upsets (Michgan/Penn St) and we should be 4th in East for week 9 crossover.

4th in the East would put us against most likely Illinois,Nebraska/Purdue, NW (interesting with Ramsey at the helm) in that order of likelihood in my opinion.  5-4 is a good goal for the season and should be good enough to get us bowling again this year

It's official now.  Dec. 12.  IU vs PU.

I think we have a better chance of winning 5 games than we do 4.

Same here. I have us minimally 4-4 with a strong likelihood of winning crossover game in week 9 to get to 5 wins. We've been so close vs Penn St it feels like. First game of year....we have almost what? 85% of returning starters back. That first game on paper has the makings of getting that first big win vs top 10 ranked team.

We bring back 82% of our "2 deep" on both sides of the ball combined from the bowl game.

Then you add in guys like Ellis, Robbins, and Sanguinetti. Two of those being 4 star guys. Bring back the punter, LSer, KO specialist. New place kicker this year.. who I think will at minimum be above average.

Thanks for confirming. With what I've watched in college and pros so far with new teams trying to mesh is average to below average play while getting reps in with new guys. Bringing back this much cohesion has to be worth something. I've had a long running hatred for Penn St for years....nothing would make me happier to get that first one.

Correct. There is NOTHING I dislike more than PSU football... and that includes ND football, UK basketball, Russia, etc.

PSU football is scum to me.. no one will convince me otherwise.

I have been very curious as to how Robbins is looking.  I haven’t caught any reports on him specifically.
