Hoosierinbham
Any idea what events he will do in track? Would assume shot and/or discuss. Discuss guys usually have very good footwork and hip flexibility.

BobSaccamanno
The discus point about flexibility makes a lot of sense.
Leathernecks
He's going to be a preferred walk on. He has some solid offers for a preferred walk on. Nevada offered, and they beat Purdue last year when they were healthy, so if they offer, it's legit.

You would think out of the offensive linemen we are bringing in this year, we should be able to find at least 2-3 who turn out to be pretty solid. Including Buttrell, I think we have 6 freshmen OL. With that much competition, it should really push all of those guys. Spegal is really intriguing to me. As much as I find the term annoying, he seems to be a "gamer." He might not have the size and speed that blows people away, but he just gets it done. I don't care what you have around you, to rush for almost 11,000 yards in 4 years, you have to be doing something great. If Scott or James miss any time, I wouldn't be surprised to see Spegal get some time this year.

The IU record holder in discuss ran the 100 and played running back for Homestead in Fort Wayne in the late 80's, Gregg Hart. Guy was 6'4" 260 with speed. Talk about a freight train.
