Got a feeling this topic won't last very long because it will turn political.  Just remember we all started out as immigrants except for the native Americans.  I think Lincoln is one of the best Americans since he help put an end to slavery.

Besides being in the Navy working at Ford was his only job he had until he retired.

Sometimes its hard to relate to people or events of a long time ago.  Yes, at the time this happened, the U.S. was a world superpower. 

But, for someone of my generation, I think it is moments like this that help shape my view of the country.  

Assign whatever label you want.  This is proof that the traits of the founding fathers still hold true today/

  • Passion
  • Overcoming Adversity
  • Never Quit Attitude
