From my perspective that will be better left to the teams at the regional level.  Although my 'Cats have had a couple of big tournament upsets in their history.

I could really use one buddy but I don’t see it happening at regional or otherwise ...Winchester lost to wapahani in the sectional next to ours so that eliminates the one player best suited to matchup with furst on both ends on that side of the bracket

@5fouls who do you think SC’s biggest threat is this year in the tournament?

Sectional - North Harrison,  SC plays them Friday night,  NH beat SC by 2 very early in the season, but TK did not play.  That said, NH has a lot of height, 2-3 D1 level players on the team, and is a conference opponent, so a lot of incentive.

Regional - Heritage Hills.  SC played them in the Hall of Fame tournament last season and the game went to overtime before SC prevailed.  SC was scheduled to play them again in the Regional last season, but then the tournament was cancelled.  HH lost a little more than SC did from last year's team, but they do have a 6'10" kid wo can run the floor very well and is going to play next level at the University of Evansville.  And, again, with what happened last season, there will be some extra incentive.  Heritage Hills has to get by Evansville Bosse in the sectional, however.  Bosse historically has been a thorn for both HH and SC.

Semi State - One of the Indy area private schools.  Either Brebeuf or Guerin Catholic.  I don't know much about either, but the computer rankings give the slight edge to Guerin Catholic.  SC would be favored over either, but both would have the talent to pull the upset of SC does not play its best.

State -  Hammond is #1 in the state in 3A (SC is #2).  The computers favor Hammond slightly in a head to head against SC, but also give Hammond a greater chance to even get to the Championship, as the northern part of the state does not have the depth of good 3A teams as the South does.  A lot of people expect Hammond and SC to meet here, and if it happens, it will probably be a coin flip.

We kept Heritage Hills pretty close the entire game, I think SC will be fine. However, you have Bosse to face if they beat Heritage Hills

A few big ones in Southern Indiana tomorrow night

1A:

Loogootee vs Orleans

Barr-Revee vs North Daviess

2A:

North Posey vs Southridge

3A:

Heritage Hills vs Bosse

Princeton vs Sullivan

4A:

Reitz vs North

Hey now.  They play good basketball in the SouthEASTERN part of the state as well.

North Harrison vs. Silver Creek.  North Harrison beat SC early in the season when Trey Kaufman was injured.  That said, NH is capable of winning even with Kaufman on the court.  They have a 6'10" kid who has signed a D1 LOI with William & Mary, another kid who is 6'8" or 6'9" and a 6'4' junior guard that should get some looks from smaller D1 schools.

Floyd Central and Jeffersonville at Seymour should be a heck of a game as well.

Yeah, but they should easily beat Batesville on Friday.  Now, a Greensburg/Connersville matchup on Saturday would be fantastic.

Connersville is the reason we need a shot clock in high school basketball.  They play a slower than slow pace of basketball and it’s so boring to watch.

If anyone beats barr reeve in 1A I’ll wear a Purdue shirt .  I’m extremely impressive with southern indiana small school basketball after watching logootee north Davies barr Reeve last year so it’s possible I suppose but barr Reeve is a good team and good mix of player type

You guys definitely got a good one ....also Carmel should be in the mix in 4A ....LN and homestead could all three win  on any given night

Yep Carmel doesn’t have a stud like. Loyer/Goode or Gunn but they have a solid team. Former Boiler Matt Waddell’s kid plays for Carmel.
