GrangerHoosier
Love IU having a football program to be reckoned with. Really hope we can close out the season with a win over Purdue, and get a solid bowl game invite. Recruiting will follow. That post game interview did more for recruiting than almost anything could.
dgambill
B1G would actually be better off having OSU play Wisconsin if they don’t get enough games then Northwestern in the championship. OSU is going to the playoffs regardless of whether they play Northwestern or Wisconsin. Benefit the B1G to have a chance of multiple New Year’s Day programs. FritzIam4IU
A couple thoughts... This game shouldn't have even been this close...that sure TD drop would have sealed the game. IU was clearly better than Wisconsin. IU is very good. Coach Allen is awesome. IU will be playing in a very good bowl after they beat down PU next week. I believe IU is second best team in Big Ten after O$U.

They beat us fair and square (though we had our chances) and no one else in the conference was going to beat them. For me, going to the Championship game on a technicality isn't the way I want to do it. We're good this year. We deserve recognition. But, a New Years Day bowl is sufficient. Let's just take care of business next week to help make that a reality. I agree with this. My main problem with it is that it's just another example that if you win enough the rules don't apply to you in college athletics. This is true at the school level (so many examples), conference level (like this), and NCAA level.

Speaking of Bowls, did anyone see the absurd Bowl Projections from the resident Purdue idiot Jerry Palm from earlier this week? Has a Northwestern team that lost to a team we beat easily (MSU) playing in a Selection Committee Bowl. And, Northwestern will most assuredly have a 2nd loss once OSU beats them by 40 in the Big Championship Game. Also, has Wisconsin playing in a Selection Committee Bowl. Granted this was before we beat them, but still...... And, here is the kicker. He has Maryland, a team we just beat easily, playing 5th ranked Texas A&M, while he has us playing a 4 loss Auburn team. He gets PAID for this shiat? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/bowls/predictions/
IU Scott
Just thinking I hope that if we get into the NY 6 game I hope it isn't against a team like UC or BYU or Costal Carolina. I want to play a big time program from the SEC
Steubenhoosier
@btownqb I have harped on the O-line all season. Today, they proved you right and were a major reason why we won. Great job providing a push for the running game and great job on pass pro. Hats off to the O-line... the unsung heroes of this game

We would set ourselves apart from 75% of the B1G by having that claim.

This was put out on December 2nd. So, it was AFTER Northwestern lost to MSU and after Maryland lost to us. My main gripe wasn't about Wisconsin, as he was clearly assuming they would beat us. I just threw it in there to add extra emphasis to his stupidity. The other two teams getting better bowls than us is what I find to be a joke. It would get the B1G more recognition to have Indiana if we win out to represent as the champs. This way the B1G wins on multiple levels. Indiana is a big story.
5fouls
And, maybe the funniest thing about Palm's bowl projections is he had Purdue playing in one.

dgambill
I’d like to play in the orange bowl against Miami. Possibly two 1 loss teams and we can bag some more Florida recruits. Plus I could drive over to watch! Edited December 6, 2020 by dgambill

And an IU/NW title game on its own is enough of a story, but the fact that we'd be playing Ramsey....
