Gave into peer pressure.  Dipping my toe into AMC.  Told myself I wasn't going near anything WSB, but that double bottom chart is too tempting.

Good deal! We like new teammates. Still have some of mine from January....and the signs are there for another pop between now and 11/4 if everything I'm reading is correct.

Maybe I should have put money in dogecoin!  It has about doubled since I posted this.  It is way too much of a crap shoot for my blood though.  I'm happy holding onto my Lumens.  Up about 20% since I bought it last Saturday.  Really like the company and the potential of their coin.  It's really surging tonight which is part of why I bought some.  Gives me something to watch on the weekends.

Also bought into a penny stock yesterday, LLKKF.  Produces possibly the most pure lithium for batteries in the world.  The process is being tested by battery maker Novonix.  The chief scientific advisor at Novonix, Jeff Dahn, has a battery research contract with Tesla.  I'm looking for the LLKKF lithium to make great batteries that end up getting used by Tesla.  If that happens, this stock could be a monster.

Always a risk with a stock that is $0.26, but man, if they do pick up a Tesla contract, this thing could skyrocket.

My LLKKF stock has taken off since this. Hit $0.60 today. I bought some more in the low 30 cent range a while back, and I'm currently up 111% since January/February.

Still a ton of room for growth. Still in the pre-production stage, so if their processing works out, they could be one of the world's biggest lithium producers. They're sitting on a massive amount of lithium. They also produce it in a much cleaner way with much less waste.

Could be worth getting into, even with the increase the last few months.

Up 20% today, eh?  Looks like a classic pump & dump to me.😜

Seriously, congrats on the double.  Those are not easy to find in the pink sheets.

No way! It isn't a WSB stock haha. I still think there's a ton of potential in it, so I'm hoping to stay until at least $1. I'd like to stay longer, but unfortunately with changing career paths and going back to school, I'm going to be needing to withdraw my money in the next few months. It's definitely going to be the last thing I withdraw from. Unfortunately I didn't have a ton in it to begin with, but definitely fun to double in 9 months!

It's also kind of fun because it trades in Germany and Australia too, so you can follow the trends. Holding decently in Australia so far tonight.

Up 16% in Australia and 21% in Germany overnight. All of you better get your tickets for the moon soon. Don't want you to miss out!

Did anyone ride the wave on DWAC last week? Unreal.  I tossed a grand into it during the pre-market on Thursday just for gits and shiggles and....yeah.  In at 12.71, sold at various points between 70 and 132.  Bought 2 grand worth of the warrants during after hours on Thursday for 20, sold them between 37 and 51.  Cleared 6 on the common stock and 2 on the warrants.

Was bleeding them off progressively all Friday morning, and dumped everything I had after the 2nd trading halt that morning and absolutely glad I did.

First time I've ever hit a score of THAT magnitude.  Still in shock actually.

Good call...that SPAC was bound to have huge enthusiasm.  Equally good call in unloading them when they got bid up into silly territory.

I knew it would have a good run up because of being tied to you-know-who.  Someone that polarizing is going to drive action.  Never expected it to be that high though.  I'd have been thrilled with doubling my money on it.

And I had my finger on the trigger since 7AM Friday.  Something that huge a) cannot be predicted and b) cannot last.  Better to sell and miss some profits on the upside than miss them all on the downside.  I laugh at the comments still being made about "This can go to 500!!" Yeah, right.  Ride's over, exit to your right.

Very new to this. thinking about jumping into twitter riding this battle out between Elon, twitter, and Vangard

Got back into investing recently, but not a great time to get in with how a lot of things have trended this year. Best stock I have right now is Mirum Pharmaceuticals (MIRM). I got in on them at $15.795 a share, and they are now at $26.23. I’m kicking myself for not going more in on them as I only have 6 shares.
Just wish my other stocks would perform better as I’m down quite a bit overall.
Does anyone do Crypto? I bit the bullet and bought over 400 shares of DogeCoin. Basically even at this point, but need Elon Musk to tweet more often about Doge lol.

I’ve dabbled in crypto, but nothing serious. I don’t like it for the reason that a lot of people do like it: the market is never closed. It’s impossible to swing trade without keeping your eye on the market 24/7.

It’s so volatile…. I’m still kicking myself because I was asked by one of my customers if he could get me to do Bitcoin when it was around $100 a share. Would have made so much money if I would have but the bullet then.

This was a long but fascinating article about a guy’s girlfriend tossing out his hard drive that had his crypto password. It was worth a LOT and he engaged in an elaborate dump searching scheme to get it back.

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2021/12/13/half-a-billion-in-bitcoin-lost-in-the-dump

”When Howells had his uh-oh moment, his hard drive was already buried under other people’s trash. He wanted to go to the dump, but he was embarrassed—and afraid that nobody would believe his story. “Explaining Bitcoin at the time was not easy,” he recalls. So for about a month he told no one, and watched helplessly as the bitcoin market soared, and with it the value of his lost holdings. He remembers saying to himself, “Oh, shit—this is turning into a bigger and bigger mistake.” Around the time that his bitcoin became worth six million dollars, he confessed to Hafina. She was shocked to learn of the potential windfall, and encouraged him to go to the dump to see if anything could be done. When he told the manager there that he’d accidentally thrown away about four million pounds, he got a lot of head shakes, but eventually the manager took him to an elevated spot to survey the site: the mounds of churned earth, the depot where trash was mixed with soil, the grassed-over areas of retired landfill. Howells’s heart sank: he saw ten to fifteen soccer pitches’ worth of garbage. How could he possibly sift through it all?”

Heh....funny you should mention bitcoin at $100.  That would have been around October-ish of 2013.  I happened to buy one bitcoin for around that price and lost interest in it soon after.  I forgot I even owned it until December 2017....yeah, you do the math.  I sold a piece of it then and then sold another piece a year ago February.  Wish I had that much return on the rest of my portfolio....lol.

Besides buying dips on oversold stocks that are good hedges vs inflation....I'm all on the sidelines right now just riding things out.

One area that interests me though is how Covid changed our minds and habits forever and one industry where there has some potential for good to great earnings in coming years is surprisingly companies like Petco.

Symbol is WOOF.....with so many people buying pets or taking care of them more because they were home these past couple years the pet industry is hitting all time revenues yoy.

Good luck to all....going to be bumpy for awhile. But if the selloff in early 20 taught us anything. Stay put. It's time in the market not timing is the old saying.

A lot of people sitting out on their side gigs right now. Heck I bonds aren’t a bad option although we may be close to seeing a drop in inflation soon. But if we don’t buy in the dips then we will miss a lot of opportunities for growth.

Yeah, and the same with Doge for me a year or two ago as well. Would have made a lot of money just doing it but crypto has always made me nervous. Good for you on making that profit, and year it was right around then. Didn’t help that the customer was, let’s just say, not a favorite of the staffs because of how odd they were.
Overall my portfolio is down about 14%. Even though I don’t indulge, I’ve gotten into some weed stocks recently hoping to get in now with legislation picking up. Unfortunately I got into AYR Wellness last year when all the experts said to get in now…… I got in at $24 a share, and it’s now at $9.10 a share. I just purchased a couple more, one being Green Thumb Industries. Hope listening to the experts pay off this time around.

Examples like this are why I started into options.  Lower initial with lower overall losses if the stock tanks.  And as long as you're not buying options with a short expiration, you've got the advantage of being able to wait without having to sit on as much red ink.  Less risk of a margin call, if you play things that closely (which nobody should be, but it happens).

Yeah, both have their pros and cons. I look at my stock portfolio as a side savings account to gamble with. I typically sell out of stuff once they start doing bad, but will stay in if I believe in their long term success. It’s my form of gambling to keep me away from the casinos lol. In no way do I have a gambling addiction, but prefer to stay away to lose money.
