Big game Friday for Gibson Southern, up against Kentucky’s 5A #3 South Warren

Will the game be streamed or televised through the IHSAA app? I'd like to record it if an option is out there....

I don't remember the exact timing of it but the SAC went down to 8 after Harding and Elmhurst closed.  So there might have been a couple of years in there where the FW schools played other conferences before Homestead and Carroll joined.

Paper this morning said if Snider finds an OOC opponent, it will be the first time since 2014 that an SAC school will face a non-conference team.

mid to low 70s at KO tomorrow. We've got a big one vs Salem. They beat us last year 14-12. We're going to have to battle through some adversity, but we have executed well so far (averaging 375 yards on the ground per game and 460 total). Have to continue that offensively. Keep putting pressure on them to have to score.

It should be an excellent game. Elm Street will be rocking.

Decent example of our home field advantage in this video. You can see the amount of people tailgating behind the visitors bleachers. That isn't school property so there is a fair amount of "fun" to be had those nights. This video was from 2015, we have turf now, but still a cool atmosphere for our kids.

Love scenes and videos like that. Interesting the school didn't buy that property to avoid people having so much fun close to the stadium....but glad they didn't. Good luck this weekend!

behind the endzone on the right, there is a hill where a significant amount of people watch the game, as well. Fun times.

Love it. I know many that enjoy the bigger stadiums etc but I would much rather catch a game in the comfy/fun atmosphere like this for HS.  When we still had a school and played football you could actually "tailgate".....I mean literally hours before kickoff people drove their trucks right onto the track and backed right up to the fence on the side line and behind the endzones. Literally put chairs in the back of their truck or sat on the tailgate and watched the games. Seen a kid one time during a wet rainy game get knocked out of bounce slid under the chain link fence and ended up under the back of a pickup. They jumped down an helped him back over the fence lol! There was a grassy area behind the bleachers and the kids would play tackle football while the game was going on. We were such a small school (usually 20-30 kids on team) so if we went 500 it was seen as an incredible year but the games always had a festival type environment with the tailgating and food and atmosphere. After the game we all drive up town and sit around the square and talk and people drove the loop trying to talk to girls/boys etc. Fall weather, football, teenagers.....incredible days! No professional or anything sense can touch those HS football memories! Jealous you are still a part of it...enjoy it!

Dwenger v Homestead is the marquee game up here in the NE corner of the state. Dwenger is 3-0 after playing three of the weakest teams in the SAC. Will be interesting to see how they perform against much tougher competition.

Eastside v Churubusco and Warsaw v Mishawaka are two other top matchups this week.

Warsaw HC Bart Curtis is the former Mishawaka HC.

We played well tonight. I didn't mentioned all week..  our best player got kicked out last week and wasn't able to play tonight on the worst targeting call in the history of football. Kids average 14.6 yards per carry.

Anyways.. we won tonight. Had a SO step up big time in his role.

Who did you play?
