For millions. He will get drafted and get his big contract and he will get personal coaches and have all day no school interference to help him improve. He will play better competition then college as well. But I bet he plays nba as well. He moves his feet and can protect the rim. It’s a myth that all nba bigs can shoot. Montrez Harrell, Capella...lots of bigs can’t shoot a lick.

I really hope the fact that he’s probably a year away from getting a degree and he’s a border line draft pick (end of round 2).

Look at Garza last year - performed Way better than TJD this year and came back.  Granted, TJD May be a better pro, but hopefully TJD gets feedback and wants to come back to improve his draft stock AND get a degree.

He can get a degree anytime. He has a lifetime scholarship.

You think it’s like 95% he’s gone?

I know nothing, but based off his play, I think it’s closer to 50/50 personally.

Kids in college don’t get drafted on their play. Boston at UK won’t be....it’s on their potential...Trayce has a ton of potential.

@Bustout hey man we can dream...just don’t count on it my friend.

Ha.  I hear you.  And understand all your point.  I just think:

1) There’s zero guarantee he’s getting drafted this year.   Zero.   Zero.

2) It has to be attractive to come back to improve draft stock, get degree, and play for a potential final 4 - elite 8 team with fans next year.   Gives him closure.

If he was a projected fringe first/second round, I’d get it 100% leaving.  But he’s not close. At all.

I think you will be surprised after his workouts and evaluations where he would go. We will see.

I’ve said it before but 1 year older is a huge disadvantage as far as the NBA is concerned.  Still wish basketball would adopt the baseball rule for athletes.

Right now he is not projected to be drafted so what huge contract will he get.

Until TJD can hit a shot outside 3 feet he will never see the door in the NBA

He was 11-40 at UL in 3 years.  It shows no 3's hit but on sports reference it had a percent of .143, .143 and .173 so he had to hit some if he had a percentage over 0

My bad...he hit a couple by accident 4 years ago. Why are you trying to argue...they are basically the same player....and their are several others that play exclusively in the paint.

Has TJD hit one 3 in a game and even a player like Sabonis has hot like 20 3's this year.  If TJD was 6'11 I might agree with you but if you are 6'8 you will need to be able to hit shots outside of 3 feet.  Harrell might not hit 3's that much but he can hit shots from beyond 3 feet.

Sabonis is like 4-5 years in....and Harrell came into the league only playing around the basket and still primarily does. Lots of players have a skill set that don’t shoot outside....and over time they develop it. I give up. You know the truth..it just doesn’t fit your narrative that he has to come back...he doesn’t. I wish he would for selfish reasons but the nba will come calling.

I am not saying he won't leave but as of right now I doubt he will get drafted this year.  Garza is a way  better player than TJD was and he came back after finding out he wouldn't be drafted.
