Making the tourney and then bowing out in the first round would be a gut punch. Secondary: play well enough the rest of the way to earn a decent seed and make that goal more achievable. IU Scott Posted February 12, 2021 Report Share Posted February 12, 2021 How I have been looking at things is in a normal year with 4 more non conference games. I think we would have 4 more wins and right now we would be 15-8. So with that record we would be alot better shape for the tournament. I do this because 11-8 doesn't sound good but looking at this way makes you know what our record would normally be. For the rest of this year I want to at least finish .500 on conference and win a game in the BTT. I want to make the tournament and win one game. No worse than a 7 seed in the BTT. 2) Win at least one game in the BTT (just one freaking game...seriously). 3) Win at least one game in the NCAAT. 4) Don't end the season with a blowout loss.  March is where coaches earn their salaries. At one point last year, we were 15-4 and still weren't ranked. The perception of us is that we play ugly basketball and struggle to win most of our games.
