For that matter, why is Alabama ahead of both of them. Lost to an unranked team. This will play itself out over the next few weeks. If MSU can beat both PSU and OSU, they will be deserving of a playoff spot. If Oregon wins out and wins the Pac 12 and OSU wins out and wins the B1G, I would have a hard time giving the Bucknuts a spot. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose by 2+ touchdowns like we did against Wisconsin but I also wouldn’t be surprised if we win a close one. They are ranked 12 right now.....OSU loss is worse in my mind. Non-conference loss at home to a team that traveled cross country for an early kick off...yikes. Losing at Kyle field on a last second fg is hardly embarrassing. Oregon gashed OSU. Don't get me wrong OSU has gotten better but that wasn't a mistake...Oregon was much sharper that day. Yep...to keep your bowl hopes alive it would be huge. Texas A & M has already lost twice--Arkansas and Miss St. in back-to-back weeks. What if Wake Forest goes undefeated, winning one of the Power 5 conferences?
