Oakland A's have bought land there apparently. Could be knew home down the road. I really don't like the idea of Oakland losing Raiders and A's but if the local officials can't agree on $.....time to hit the road and after that I say good luck to Oakland and what's left.

Proud2BAHoosier
The Yankees are getting owned this off-season by their cross-town rivals, the Mets! They signed the pitcher I wanted on the Yankees, Max Scherzer. Rumor is the front office is not going to sign any long term contracts. They also let LHP Robbie Ray sign with the Mariners. The Yankees did absolutely nothing at the trade deadline this past summer, while the Braves killed it and won a WS!! You know The Boss has to be turning in his grave. He would never let the Mets get the upper hand in New York news!! Edited November 29, 2021 by Proud2BAHoosier
ATX_sig
My hopes for the Rangers was Seager, Kershaw, Castellanos if he leaves the Reds and Suzuki from Japan. They just spent big on Seager and Semien and added the starting pitcher named Gray. Kershaw is probably still in the mix since he is from Dallas. They are listed as the top contender to get suzuki. I know he isn't the same Kershaw but if they top off the week with Kershaw and Suzuki that would be a great off season. Hopefully the young players they have acquired from the firesale over the last year or 2 are solid. Iguess I'll buy back into the 20 game package. I was waiting to see what they would do. The Triple AAA team can stay here in Austin for 2022 rather than play in Arlington as they did in 2021.
IU Scott
Where did the Rangers find all of this money. must be nice to be a fan of a baseball team that actually spends money and tries to win.

Watch Seager get injured during spring training. lol

ATX_sig
The Rangers AAA team they fielded last year except for a couple of real major leaguers like Lowe, Kiner-Falafa, and Garcia went into the off season with a whopping 35 mil on the books. This team will spend as proven during their playoff years. I guess they feel they restocked the farm system so now can start adding vets. A-Rod was absolutely great on the field when he was on the Rangers who were a last place team when he joined. The team remained bad but wasn't his fault. I hope the Seager deal works out as good at that one without all the drama A-Rod produced with Showalter that led to the trade. Imagine had baseball not vetoed the Ramirez/Lester trade for A-rod. I still don't understand why the trade was vetoed but thos 2 were big players in the RedSox getting past NY.
landrus13
A's hired Mark Kotsay as their new manager yesterday. He was previously their third base coach.
IU Scott
Just saw Seattle's Kyle Seagar retired at the age of 34. He had 35hrs and 101rbi last year.
IU Scott
I think baseball fans should boycott opening day whenever that is. They should pick it outside the stadium and not go into the stadium.
