ThePaulieWalnuts
Time to move on imo. Dude clearly just wants to play footsie with IU. IU should never give him that chance again. Plenty of good coaches to go after. The money is there.

Why doesn't Beard, Musselman, or Beilein understand IU history/culture? and they actually have been successful college coaches.
IUCrazy2
I hope if this deflating news is the end, that we actually have a guy ready to go. If we get our version of Mick Cronin, I'll throw support but....
Hoosierfan1901
Looks like he got a $2.5 million raise on top of his $7 million contract according to Chris007 on BTB. Dude was in it for the money

No matter how confident Dolson was in getting Brad, he’d surely know he had legitimate other options ready to roll just in case.

Bowhunter
Brad was never coming and basically made a fool out of the media and our fan base for having to repeat himself. There was one guy on the other site who got some intel and then another so called insider jumped on his info. Lots of false chatter and boom Billy D all over again. I’m sick, seriously sick to my stomach. We all appreciate your info. Thank you for sharing what you know. So many had similar info. It sounds like shockwaves that he decided to stay in Boston. Onward...hopefully we get someone good that we can all unite under and support.

If it is true that Boston gave him a huge raise then not much IU could do. The bad thing is even if we get a very good coach at first it will be a let down after all of this. I think if we can get one of these coaches we will be fine(Beard, Beilein, Matta, Drew).

Any coach other than Stevens will have some blemishes, perhaps the best approach would be to wait until March Madness is over and see if a new candidate has emerged, might be that someone we've not even considered ends up being the best choice.

My "only" complaint on Dolson is IF I was the booster ponying up 10mm for the buyout on the assurance we were getting Stevens. Now IF that isn't the case, then no one can be upset for taking a shot and getting rejected. IF I was that booster, I would have wanted a signed contract prior to cutting that 10mm check.

Hoosierdave
I’ll say this, I am not giving up on Dolson. Sounds like he’s swinging for the fences and walking around with a blank check. As CoachSS said in his email, Dolson isn’t going for some mid major/unproven coach with this hire.
