Hard, physical play is fine...a cheap shot thrown firearm/elbow isn't...

Trevion Williams should have gotten the same thing at Penn State when he threw an elbow to a guys chest on a free throw...

I dislike both of these teams, but I'm fair about it...The refs made the exact right call...

💯. MP took him out after that

should have been a review and F1

Win today and the Hall will be on fire Thursday.  Probably the best crowd we've had since the Duke game in Archie's first season.

This should be in the pre game thread yeah?

And at one point the box score, in the middle of the game, showed Kaufman had played for Purdue.

Payne got what he deserved...if it had connected solidly, it would have called for a flagrant 2

Not that big of a deal.  Not aure what Im looking at but there is hardly any velocity from Payne's elbow coming across or Stef pushing back.

Here's whats important.  IU better be ready for a more physically trash game that what they just played.  Why is Stef up under and in this dudes armpit?  Its not excessive in the rule of flagrant but thats not basketball.  Thats troll defense.  Thats Wisconsin.  Foul all the time because they can't call them all.  And thats exactly what ruins the B1G as a whole.

Purdue is a really tough match up for Illinois, fortunately not too many teams like that out there. Very happy to get Curbelo back, now we can finally see what this team can do. Still going to be tricky to figure out rotations, as happened in the OT yesterday, can't really play Curbelo, Frazier and Plummer together against teams with bigger wings.

Amazed that Curbelo was able to play at such a high level after 6+ weeks off with very little practice and being out of "game shape". Also seems like Kofi must have been one of the players that had covid issues, he hasn't looked too good since coming off that "pause".

Here's hoping IU can break that streak Thursday.

Illini are a handful

If they play Verdonk instead of Payne they probably win

Curbello was unreal

If Purdue or Penn State can’t win big ten….ILL…
