I worked with a guy that when he turned in his car I believe it was in Belgium, they charged him for a speeding ticket!! Quite pricey if I remember. Seems the car kept track of its speed and location and they then had evidence of the speeding?

Its going to get like that here sooner than later. Black boxes in cars will monitor miles driven to for taxes as gas taxes drop due to more electric cars. A number of insurance companies already base rates upon driving habits as reported from the cars.

Insurance companies and Government bureaucracies, the perfect storm!

Remote learning during Covid called a "global disaster which will likely lead to a $21 trillion loss in earnings over the lifetime of children today."

Schools that worked to stay open during the pandemic had students who "flourished" more than schools that were closed.

Didn't know if this should be posted here or the comedy thread. I really have no words.

The owner of a woodworking supplies company said the city of Noblesville gave up on a $ 5.5 million development deal because it wouldn’t close an adult children’s store it also owns.

When the city found out it owned My Inner Baby, a store that sells adult diapers and other adult baby clothes, it turned down the WoodTurningz deal because it “doesn’t meet the morals of the city,” Polokoff said.

Not sure how a guy that has shot at family members and police as well as having drugs and illegal weapons is roaming the streets to kill a police office. This guy is the embodiment of Menace 2 Society. Another example of the flawed justice system.

Yesterday I got word of the senseless killing of a local Funeral Director in Indy. Mr James Dixon was my client and I had met with him last week and spoke to him Friday. He was so excited to be opening his second funeral home , I was excited to be part of his project because  had a great vision on what he wanted to be able to do to help those grieving families. I am shocked and saddened by this crime. My heart goes out to his family and friends. RIP Mr DIXON!!!

Louisville this morning.  Just starting my day at work in Louisville when a co-worker mentioned the police were starting to block streets downtown.  Went down to the scene to investigate and while the police wouldn't share a lot of details, I heard enough to know I didn't want to be downtown today.  So, I left the office and decided to work from home the rest of the day.

Anyway, turns out there seems to have been some sort of explosive device under a bus stop  5 cylinders with protruding wires were recovered by a robot.  After the robot placed them in a blast proof container, the containers were inspected by guys in Hazmat suits.  FBI has taken over the investigation,   Hearing that soon after I left, many office buildings in the were put on shelter in place.  Glad I got out while a could.

News coming out that the devices (plural) were marked 'Bomb 1' and 'Bomb 2'.

Sounds like the area has been cleared. Pretty crazy way to start the day. That’s when I’m glad I can work from home and my building is out of town so I can avoid that area.

I am allowed a lot of flexibility when it comes to going in the office, but I actually prefer doing so versus working from home.

The final video imbedded in the story link below is actually pretty cool.  It shows the robot removing one of the devices.  Caution that you may want to mute as there is a very annoying sound (I assume coming from the robot).

That’s a pretty wild scene. My wife’s office isn’t far from the area that was blocked off.
It will be interesting to see what it was.

Seeing commercials on television about women taking a poop! You would think women weren't allowed to do it and a constitutional amendment had been passed. This country heading down the same path as the poop! Right down the shxxhole!

I wont share with you what I'm doing while I'm reading this post.
