Bad Brad
Trev Alberts, in his first year as AD at Nebraska is to be commended. He confronted Frost with a choice, take less money on a one year extension, get better offensively or leave. As a result 4 top offensive coaches were let go. The Frost-Alberts/Allen-Dolson timelines and situations are eerily similar. Waiting until after the Purdue game won't help.

Allen has been down the road with something like this before when he made the change a few years ago. My assumption is that Allen went with Sheridan because he values stability when Coach D became a head coach.

The program is on solid footing, but drastic changes need to be made on the offensive side of the ball. NO MORE GUYS THAT LEARNED UNDER DEBORD! I hope coach Allen looks from his defensive perspective and finds an OC that runs a system he would hate to face and prepare for as a DC. Worked well with Deboer.

Brandon Streeter is a name that's been gaining traction last 5-6 years at Clemson. He's still their QB coach but who knows? Attached link is split into 3 groups of QB coaches. Because $ is a factor...why not go to the guys who have developed pro QB's and make them our OC? https://footballscoop.com/news/the-highest-paid-quarterbacks-coaches-in-college-football-2021-edition
rogue3542
If you look at any/all of the coaches letting assistants go during the season, they're all in danger of being fired themselves. It's a last ditch effort to throw some other people under the bus and make it look like they're RIGHT NOW going to address an issue that can't be addressed in actuality until the offseason anyway. Allen is not in this position, and I'd be shocked if we don't see changes made to the offensive staff in the offseason.

iuswingman
An offense that our D would hate is one that snaps the ball before they are done looking at the sideline
Fiveoutofsix
IU defense lost it's identity. They need to go back to causing confusion and swarm D. Too much one on one. We don't have the depth, speed, personal. Offense throw the $$$ at Justin Frye. Could solve two areas with one hire. OLDIUFAN
I think we need to fire The OC before we get on the plane after the Purdue game! Hire a new one then work withe him on replacing the entire offensive coaches except running back coach. He deserves a couple years.

Since Coach Allen took over, IU has struggled in the Special Teams and Offense. There of course was that one good year where the O looked good. Last year, everyone saw the challenges, especially with the line; however, Penix was amazing before injury. Coaches may go but Allen blames the QB play and some on the O-Line. Seemed shocked when asked about coaches after the loss on Saturday.
