Speaking of beach bodies I heard on the radio. That 57% of women aged 25 to 40 prefer the Dad bod over the chiseled look. Not sure who these women are but their thinking makes me feel little better6 points

Over the years, I've heard enough talk. I'll believe it when I see it. When Race has a microphone in his face, not much he can say. Hey, I hope he truly is Big Ten ready. That would be incredible. Seems like a great kid that just wants to win. Having some insurance behind Trayce and Race is only going to allow them to play more aggressive. And give them fresh legs. That'd be fantastic.3 points

For the Reneau wont get many mins. crowd. If he doesn't its only because CMW hates playing freshmen.3 points

We don’t even need to be an elite shooting team to be an elite team. We need a 1-2 percent bump as a team to be right where we need to be in terms of percentage. I wouldn’t mind a higher volume of threes though.3 points

So we only draw 3 of what are thought to be the consensus bottom 4 (Nebraska, Penn St, Minnesota, Northwestern) once and the consensus top 4 (Michigan, Illinois, Purdue, MSU) twice... It could be a little easier but as Clif Marshall says, iron sharpens iron...2 points

Home: Nebraska, Ohio State, Wisconsin Away: Maryland, Minnesota, Penn State Home/Away: Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers Personally I think it’s a decent draw. However, living in Maryland I might be biased since I can go to some away games.2 points

I think the key is exactly that - don’t turn the ball over and hit shots. If you look back at Game 5 and ignore any thoughts on the officiating, the Celtics lost a game they got a goose egg from three out of Steph and had double the free throw attempts and it happened because of those two areas. If I were to add a third area I’d say keep the Warriors out of the paint. They scored a ton inside in Game 5 - make them (someone besides Steph) hit jumpers to beat you in your home court.2 points

Lunardi has us a #4 seed in his latest bracket, the highest of any Big Ten team. He has 8 teams from the conference making it (and that' excludes Wisconsin), but the next highest seeds after us are Illinois and Michigan as 6's. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-projecting-2023-march-madness-men-field2 points

And? Yogi was faster and more athletic as well. Yogi was a PG not a short 2 guard who had his starting spot taken away from him early and his role changed and played on a really bad team. @Stlboiler23dont think this is an upgrade. This is just a roster fill for a year or hope he was greatly misused at Utah. He lost his starting role and role changed. Something to be concerned about especially when you play for a horrible team. He has also hoped around a lot. Proctor was better, taller, more efficient, etc.1 point

I'm still trying to get a feel for things of what is good today besides even. Novak just had a great side (-3 after 9) and it all went bad at 10 with a triple. Always been mixed on US Open. I love the challenge...I also don't like seeing a ball roll off the green and disappear into rough. I know it's the same for all but just has always made me 50/50 on it. Either way great start to the week. Lots of big names with solid starts. I'm heavy on the usual suspects this week (JT, Rory, Rahm...but was surprised Morikawa (55 year old thinking wise in a 25 year old body) wasn't getting more discussion. He loves tactical play and that's perfect for any US Open.1 point

I've got mixed feelings. We obviously have home and away with arguably the top tier of conference. We also got hosed by only playing Nebraska, Maryland, Minnesota, and Penn St...as they project in bottom half or even bottom third of conference. We do catch a break in only playing Wiscy/Ohio St once and both games are at home. All in all. Not great not bad. If we've got the horses we think we do it's a fair schedule. Just all depends on actual dates and when we play. No clue what other projected top teams got though.1 point

Wife and I don’t curse except on very rare occasions, and I agree with you on this. We have two young boys and can’t stand it when people have no filter, even after seeing our kids are there.1 point

I coached youth baseball for 5 and 1/2 years. I learned quickly to be upfront to parents about their actions at practice and at games, and what the consequences would be. It made a WORLD of difference and we were always receiving compliments from umpires and opposing coaches. I don’t tolerate parents yelling at umps/refs, kids, and coaches. I quit umpiring in high school (I’m 35 now) because the parents were so awful. I grew up in a small country town where everyone knew me, and it didn’t matter. Definitely an adult problem ruining youth athletics, and unfortunately only getting worse with violence towards officials growing.1 point

Nice and really like hearing that! I’ve never been a big fan of lifting weights, but need to start incorporating them more, which is why I’m doing MBF. I notice a major health benefit once I start exercising and eating better, which is my stomach/digestion. World of difference with even a little adjustment to being healthier.1 point

I design automated procedures that process millions of lines of data at a time. Yet electric can openers absolutely befuddle me. I can open a can easier with a dull pocket knife than with one of those infernal contraptions.1 point

Why would you assume IU couldn't take both? I'm not suggesting they will land either, but they aren't the same player. If I were Woodson, I'd get both on campus at the same time. Tell Queen that we expect him to be the next Draymond Green. Play like that, be that successful. I'd tell Xavier that we expect him to lead the country in 3-point shooting for offense, and blocks for defense. And that they can both achieve these things as teammates. Sign them both.1 point

Excessive and over the top profanity. I'm not a fuddy duddy or proclaim to be perfect. I'll drop an f-bomb if I do something like stub my toe or get stopped at a traffic light if I'm in a hurry. Usually reserve such language when talking to myself. What I'm talking about is people the cant say 5 words without two of the being profane. People that do it in front of young children as part of normal conversation. People that do it on social media.1 point

Happy for my friend Pat Perez for cashing in. I got a call from an Agent 22 years ago to caddy for a rookie in his first Buy.com tour event. Because of the money offered I said yes and it was for Pat. You can tell by the sound what kind of ball striker a player is. After 5 mins, i knew Pat Would have a long career. I had a job at the time and set Pat up with a friend going forward, and they have worked together for 21 years. I compare Pat to John Daly in a lot of ways.1 point

The Kansas and Arizona games are gonna be big measuring sticks for this team. We'll see if we are truly a final four contender or a sweet 16 team. I want to see 2 wins but I'd be fine with 2 competitive losses.1 point
