Saw today that Colson is projected to White Sox at 22nd pick I believe. Hard to pass that up. Hopefully we get him but understand if we don't. Just wish it wasn't to the gang at 35th and Shields.

Greg Rakestraw was on 1070 this week and said Montgomery wasn't going to IU since he is very likely a late 1st round pick.

He didn't have any inside information,  just making his opinion known. I hope he is wrong, but you can't blame a kid taking life-changing money as a 1st rd pick.

The White Sox tend to prefer college players in the first round, but it appears they might go the prep route this year. Montgomery likely profiles better at third base in pro ball. He also can hit for average and power in the future
