Loved that announcement. Kids seems like he knows what it means to wear Indiana across your chest

Caught up with Gunn and his father this morning.  Here is that Q&A. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-qa-with-new-class-of-2022-indiana-commit-c-j-gunn/

The development of armaan Franklin played a huge role in this.

Having those two on the wings with their length will help defensively.  From what I have seen both have good mid range pull-up jumpers

Will they ever really play together? Armaan will be a senior his freshman year and I doubt Gunn plays much as a freshman at all.

True

The thing about stacking talent is you need it every single year to get to see the biggest benefit. You have a couple years with holes in it then you have gaps in your roster as far as having players ready to contribute. As we see right now. 2018 class...the one we thought was bringing IU back is basically struck out...big nothing from it. 2019 just two but good...2020 looks good but still an unknown..2021 looks shallow by having just one recruit. These gaps create problems. Now...the transfer portal is a place that can be a god send to Archie and hopefully Stewart and maybe another front court player next year would be huge...but the one thing the transfer portal rarely ever brings are star/take over a game quality players...and that is what we are truely lacking in the 20, 21 class...yet to see if 22 will bring one either.

Maybe...I just don’t count on it...I think there will be just as many kids do a grad transfer year as those stay with their school for 5 years.

Glad we are talking about him. Wish we would do.more of it.  Quality young man making a big decision and I can't wait how him to be a Hoosier

Agreed I think he is going to be a really good addition

If there’s a coaching change as it appears most seem to want...he may never step foot on campus..🤷🏻‍♂️

May not be about the coach. Dad talks about how IU players are taken care of after after their careers are done. That started long before Archie.

little recruiting momentum here it seems like.

I am completely out of the insiders loop of recruits, and it seems like we are talking about CJ, dont get me wrong its great, and other players that have committed. We have 13 scholarship offers out to uncommitted players in 2022. anyone have updates on any of those guys?
