Archie was quite a disappointment, and I'm happy that he's gone. I'm not gonna have any soft spot for him whatsoever. What he's shown so far is poor professionalism. Sure his ego was damaged, but this is not how he should end his chapter with IU that will have given him 20+ million for shitty results. At the bare minimum, he should've released a statement on twitter. He doesn't even need to do this himself; he can let his agent to do that for him. I listened to Kent Sterling a while ago, and he said Archie was in general a cold person. No wonder his players hoped to have better relationships with a new coach. Archie Miller in reality was everything opposite to what we heard at first and hoped.

Yeah Tom Crean can sell his experiences at Marquette and Indiana and brag about all his lottery and first round picks. That's gonna give him a few years at new positions. But he eventually will have to save himself.

First big step would be to make it to the tournament with an at-large bid. Sure a lot of positive things have gone on since CMW took over, but I gotta be realistic. He and his staff are implementing a new system and bringing in some new players. I wanna see his first team improves as season progresses and to make it to the tournament. Then, anything can happen.

You're definitely not alone. I have rather a strict definition of Indiana Hoosiers; Hoosiers are the ones who have finished their careers in Candy Stripes. With that said, I'm not sure if a graduate transfer should be considered a Hoosier after playing one season and finishing his career. That would be up for discussion.

Ok this is not April Fool stuff, but this kid's got balls. If he gets drafted in the first round (which I doubt it), what a success story that would be.

I also see this as a sign of self-confidence. Usually people who are insecure try to portray themselves bigger than they really are. Definitely a huge benefit of having a coach of Mike Woodson's caliber who pretty much accomplished everything as a basketball person. A self-confident but humble person feels comfortable in his/her own skin. This is something we haven't seen for a long time.

Would coach Woodson bring Larry Brown here if he's not all himself?

Personally, I have absolutely positively no problem with coach Woodson's personal relationship with Worldwide Wes. Coach has been working with this guy at NYK, and probably known him for a long time in NBA circle. It was said that Uncle Wes knows everybody and that's how he thrives by connecting people. I don't care if Wes asks some famous rappers to go check out Indiana men's basketball and shake hands with our players. I'd be happy if Wes advises real good high school players to consider playing for coach Woodson simply because coach Woodson is a really good coach. Now if Wes gives kids money to send kids to IU, that's a problem, but why would Wes do that for coach Woodson? Wes is not an IU alum.

Holy Sh!t! Juwan Howard's Merlin/Gandalf is Martelli, which I thought was pretty cool, but coach Woodson trying to bring in Larry Freaking Brown? That right there is the difference in class.

I don't know about reputation, but it'll definitely take a toll on his and his family's mental health. Celtics fans hate him so much with burning passion. Anything we said or we did on Crean and Miller is child's play.
