I did not see any of the sectional at Greensburg but looking at the scores there were some close games but man just basing on the scores I would think it was pretty boring. How do you play an OT game at 30-25 or 3OT 38-36. I can understand when a 1A is going against a much better team but in the 3A section to have all the games in the 30's or 40's seems unwatchable. This coming from a coach that played 2 games in the 20;s trying to steal a win. 29. You without question know much much more about this game than I do and I respect all you bring. I am just a fan of it. Bowers does something for me though. I think he with Mallory and Grandson give us something special. I hope he falls to the Colts. I agree TE is solid but I think this guy is gonna be special. The best teams in this league have a special TE.

This response is not directed at your statement just following up on what you said. The difference is we are light years behind the program that is out there doing it so even if there is no advantage the optics appear that way for sure. Maybe once upon a time IU could just swoop in like Kansas does or UK or Duke and get the prom queen to say yes because of who they are but those days are gone. If we want her we have to court her and make her think she is the one. Matt painter is great at that. Almost every recruit that Coach Knight showed up at games have talked about what that meant to them. No Coach has to be at all games but they need to be somewhere visible. A big part of this job is being visible and the optics. In the day of social media you have to be out and about and Painter is. Like him or not most IU fans are envious of him and his program. I would rather be ranked #1 and lose the first weekend every year than to be where IU is. Yet Painter is out there being where he needs to be to bring in kids year in and out that kick our ass. Its not a hard concept for anyone to understand. being at one game probably does not make a difference overall but the accumulation does. Get out and see the kids that you want in your program.

The families of these players know that and the other staffs are aware as well and trust me it is being used. There is a strong narrative out there that guys like Sisley and Mullins do not fit what CMW is looking for. As a high school player in the state of Indiana having the IU staff show up for your sectional game just means a little more. When the best program in the state the past decade makes the effort and says this is why we are where we are with guys just like you that fit OUR system the kids and parents are listening. For each of these guys every game the rest of this year could be their last competitive game of the year. Having the staff there is important. We all know what AAU is, not knocking I got my coaching start there but its not the same. IU is BLOWING it with 2 in state kids that mark my words will kill us for 4 years at either PU or ND. I said it with Braden Smith and I am saying it again. this staff is losing the recruiting battle in state and on the court to PU.

According tot he Fever its in 45 days now. The Fever will become the new team for anyone that has followed CC closely and for many within a 6 to 8 hour drive I would think. How many daughters in cities like St louis, CIncy louisville Kansas City etc are going to want to become Fever fans and begging Mom and Dad to take them to see the Fever. This is huge for the franchise, like her or not the Fever will have the most popular WNBA player in the league.

if he stays and he and the staff have not been out this week to see Sisley or Mullins then the whole situation is far worse than I thought. I just dont see how they bring him back.

I recall reading in one of Coach Knights book what he wanted in his players and when we hired Woodson I thought we were getting someone the valued these things just as much but I think i was wrong. He may value them but maybe doesn't know how to make men into this mold. not sure but here is what Coach Knight said he wanted in every jersey that said Indiana on the front. What it meant to Big Ten, the college basketball world and the people in the state of Indiana Inside that jersey was a kid that would compete like hell and represent his school on and off the court, during his college years and after in a way that would make the most important judges of all , his parents, proud. If you can do that and win thats success. Currently we have neither.

Nice win on the road. Gotta continue to finish strong and I expect to see them in the BTT championship game. Locking in that 2 seed would be great

Really nice win. Loved the play of Ware and Galloway. Played with more heart and emotion and finally hit some shots. Not 1 game does a season make either good or bad. I do not make my decisions without looking at the full picture when judging this team. There are many weaknesses but the ability is there its just not being utilized or maximized correctly in my opinion. Very happy for a win and a game I was able to watch the majority of.

unless you have heard that from him, I would not guarantee that. nothing absolute but some people close to USI and Pearl seem to think the he has made enough money that there is a number but it might not be as high to come to IU. I have no idea just what I heard.

I might be wrong but I believe I heard last week that the Pacers led the league in wins over the top 8 and tied for lead with losses to bottom 8

The only thing that would slow Pearl down on accepting the IU job is not seem so eager that he would do for less money. The guy would move heaven and Earth to become the head coach at Indiana. Since most if not all of the grey area has been removed in college basketball i would take Pearl in a heartbeat.

To add more fuel to this dumpster fire of a season and just another kick in the balls to all of IU fans, Houston Ranked #1 and Purdue #2 and yet we cannot even get our program into the top 25 and both have been ranked in the top 5 each of the past 3 seasons. Somehow Sampson replaced a lottery pick without falling off the map. HUH who would of thunk it. IU basketball has me hating all college basketball right now. without hope of the tourney not much for this Hoosier fan to get excited about with college basketball.

A ton of IU fans and our fans support this team well but in all fairness. The arena attendance record for a womens game has been broken in every away game for Iowa the past 2 years minus 2 games. thats pretty impressive.

Thank you Lady Hoosiers and Coach Moren and staff for a great birthday present. You exhibit what Indiana Basketball is all about. I am very proud of this team their accomplishments and looking forward to the stretch run. A fun exciting fundamentally sound hard working great shooting team. Lots and lots to like. Lotta heart on display in Assembly Hall and that is the type of response Hoosier Nation gives to quality basketball. Thank you that was a fun night.

For me its all the things that many of us say are little things and yet they continue to kill this team. I don't watch a lot of any of the games but what i do I cannot remember seeing anyone diving on the floor for a loose ball. No solid box outs, we don't even make contact on free throw box outs. If the other team shot worse Ft percentage they would kill us even more on the offensive glass. The fact they no one on this team cant shoot (and make) is just amazing. For me this is so far worse than the CAM era, worse than the beginning of Crean Era for me this is the all time low in my Iu basketball fandom and I see not a glimmer of hope in the upcoming year. Woody is lost and his band of yes men are useless. Without whole sale changes in staff and players which we will have for sure there is zero hope that next year is any better. Terrible time to be a Hoosier fan. My kids wanted to buy me tix for my birthday for last nights game and I said no. They first time I ever have turned down IU tix. I told them to save there money becasue this team and this University at this time does not deserve their money. APATHY is in full effect . my request is for an IU womens win tonight on my birthday.

Not gonna see me doing much work on the physical side of things too old for that but I was very present on several sites. Doing a big TOP SECRET job that most of us will like to see when its done

Just did not know where to put this but wanted to share a little encounter from Saturday. Our company did some work for the All Star game and the owner and I were able to take our kids to the practice and had a great time. When I got home my neighbor was outside and he is a huge sports fan so we talked for a little while about the practice and sports in general. He was putting up his Nascar flag of the Jeff Gordon #24. Being a big Gordon fan myself we talked some nascar and I asked him why the Gordon flag and not someone current that has a chance of winning. Without missing a beat he says I have looked over at the IU flag you have flying and have thought the same thing. Gordon has the same chance of winning the cup as IU does winning another title in basketball. He says I think we both relish and miss the past. Unfortunately I could not argue.

My best friend is the biggest Purdue homer of all time. In 30 plus years of watching games with him he has never seen Purdue foul and every missed shot of Purdue they were fouled. Just who he is. He could not even say that last nights game was called close to evenly. I am not a conspiracy theorist in any way but I think the BIG is so starved to try and get a National Champion that they are making sure the BIG has a #1 seed. No other post player in the the BIG gets away with what EDEY does. They have made a conscious effort to protect him. Prior to the BIG season I truly felt that PU really would win it all and there are very few things that I want to see in my lifetime less than that. Having watched them play so much in league I think the officiating really helps them out and a good shooting team once again will send them home early in March when they cant live at the FT line. Coach Knight always said over the course of the season he wanted his teams to make more FT than the opponent shot and that hopefully on the road you can break even with your opponent in attempts but make up for it at home. If I were not so lazy to look it up I bet PU has made more FT's on the road than their opponents have shot and its not just due to style of play.

Gutsy win for sure. Really glad that I was able to watch and enjoy. So happy for Leal. Kid deserved to have a day for sure. Big time shot by Cupps and even the 2 ft's made by TG after the x injury. Ware could be so so good loved his offensive rebounding and the teams offensive rebounding the second half. Not gonna talk about any of the negatives, had you told me prior to the game that we would lose 2 starters and Leal would be our 2nd leading scorer I would have thought we got run out of the building. Build on this.

I have not had a chance to watch them yet this year. Hopefully soon.

no need to apologize we are all part of this giant dysfunctional IU family. i agree with that. For me I like to watch things that bring enjoyment and this team just has not been enjoyable for me. 10 years ago I would still watch no mater what but now there are more options I guess and spending time with my wife and kids watching something they like is more enjoyable than watching this product by myself getting frustrated why a D1 player can't hit a ft or open shot.
