  1. Does anyone have a breakdown of his stats over the last 2 years?  I couldn't find anything other than some USA stats.  What is his shooting percentage?  Free throws?  3pts?  Just like to see what he did recently.

Great pick up.  He plays the 3, Mbako goes to the 4 and MR to the 5.  Pick up a CG, 2x SG and a PG and we're good

I went to Mt. Vernon, graduated in mid-80's, high school had about 750 students.  At that time, HSE had about 500 students total.  The area has certainly grown!!

I went to Boonville.  If you went to the same Mt. Vernon that was in our conference, we're not far apart

I think your point of what it would mean to transfer is a good one. But I think the complexity of transferring classes, deadlines, degrees, degree requirements, etc, is something that these kids consider and hopefully/certainly have help with. I struggled with Drop-and-Add dates & deadlines back in the mostly computer-less days of mid-80's IU, haha, can't imagine the complexities of today (although tech does help).

I think some of it depends on if he is planning to finish school and get his degree or is the plan to jump to the NBA as soon as possible.  I hope he is thinking Student and Athlete but i would understand if his sole goal is NBA next year and not caring about losing credits or classes to transfer if it is the best for getting pro.

That was the whole reasoning behind this post haha.

Not sure if they are in the same position as they were then. I thought John Ruiz was the biggest backer, and he is in some trouble

Is Perkins local?  I am not familiar with where he is from?  Did he initially want to be at IU?  I didn't follow his recruitment.

I hope you're right. But once he gets NBA feedback, it could (not saying it will) change his mind. But maybe the portal closes before he gets that feedback. I don't keep up with all the ins and outs of the portal rules.

My guts says he comes back, But i wouldn't be surprised if he decided to do something else.  He is taking longer than the other to announce his intentions, which is his right.  I am sure he is talking through what it would mean to transfer, get feedback from the Pros and how it would impact him staying.  Seems like a smart kid. Was very good as a freshman and i assume will be even better next year as he matures, learns and develops more skills.  Is he a 3 or a 4 is a big question for him to determine what he wants to do. I really like the kid and hope he comes back.

my opinion is worth just as much as yours, which they both mean squat. My point was the colors on the floor effects 0% of the game and the differences in a baseball field have a much more drastic impact of the actual game.

nonetheless, the colors of the floor (Oregon) and the size of the gym (Cameron Indoor circa 1940) is a part of their tradition, albeit Oregon's is a lot more recent.

Infact, I would LOOOOOOVE IU to do something different, like maybe paint the end zone candy stripe.

I didn't mean to offend you, by expressing my opinion, just like you did yours.

End zones are different.  Middle logo is different.  Size of the stadium/arena is different.  Color of the playing surface should be uniform in my opinion.  I 100% believe Boise State has an advantage with that blue field and their blue home jerseys.  I believe Oregon's wild floor pattern plays an effect on shooters and is just hard to watch from a viewers standpoint.  There are so many ways to differentiate your program and keep some tradition standards.

Again, all my opinion and i know absolutely nothing about anything so i leave it at that

eh... i say leave it be. if they want ugly let them. What's next all baseball fields need to be the same? Home court is home court. let them paint it however they want. Cameron Indoor only holds 890 more people than New Castle and Cameron is considered a top 10 venue by a lot of people.

meh, disagree but i feel like recently you disagree with everything.  All i said is basketball courts should be the same color and so should football fields.  Not saying they should all be the same size or shape.  But its my opinion and that is all it is.  Its something i don't like.  You don't have to agree.  Feel free to like whatever you want my man.  Have a great day

so much for the disgruntled Cupps rumors...?

That kid was making 2mil NIL a year.  N freaking way he was ever leaving IU, and his volleyball player girlfriend is at IU.  He didn't even need to announce.  And why is everyone announcing they are coming back.  Unless you hit the portal, we can assume you're still on the team.

I think it's fair to give the IU coaches some credit.  Ware alluded to it in his thank you.  TJD has spoken openly about it as well.

Development can even mean something like getting hom to play harder for the full 40 minutes.  Doesnt have to strictly mean his shooting form or footwork in the post improved (though that could be true as well)

Sorry i just don't agree.  I don't buy into Coach Woodson is some great developer of talent.  I just don't.  Not going to change my mind which is why i don't usually post much about.  And this will be the last time i do.  thanks for the response, i will see my way out of this thread and conversation.

I get it. But it comes off as disrespectful. We don't know exactly what happened. But what has come out shows Mac may have been as much as a victim as anyrhing, and then handled it poorly.

But he was 18, just moved away from home and had what appears to be a pretty truanatic experience occur.  For adults to refer to him by a nickname referencing that episode just makes me a little uneasy.

It's not endearing, it's a cheap jab at a kid many many months after the fact. Just my opinion.

My opinion is you're giving it more meaning that it actually has but you have that right and i wouldn't try and take that from you.  I just don't agree.  Have a good day

Good luck to Ware. Kid was lost on the bench in Oregon....and now a 1st round pick in the NBA. Says plenty about the development we have at IU for players.

I can't agree with the development part since i never watched how he played or was used at Oregon.  I do think he was either misused or mis-motivated at Oregon for sure based on how he played at IU.  Still has room to grow also.  Will be nice to see what 24/7 development at the NBA level will do for him.
