  1. Sorry, I was trying to think of the least likely place Scott Dolson would be.
  2. This is impossible. I have it on good authority that Dolson has been out of town on an Iron Maiden fan cruise. Indykev, back me up on this. 😇
  3. Welcome Oumar and family. Get ready to have the time of your life! And then get ready to make the B1G refs your... er, friends. (Hint: Watch the last 2 years' PU tape to see what you can get away with...) WELCOME TO IU Also congrats to the coaching staff. Anyone who thinks this is only about $$ is mistaken.
  4. Welcome to Indiana University Men's Basketball, Mr. Tucker and family. You all will have the time of your lives in Bloomington. It will be nice to hear Indiana mentioned on the McDAA game-- again. Hoo Hoo Hoo...
  5. That was such a brutal end for this group of guys. They never seemed to click with one another and no one helped them take ownership of this season. Good teams have players who personally take on the task of competing hard and sacrificing for the team. Good coaches understand how to help guys tap into that juice. Good coaches help them feel prepared so that when the game is in their hands as players, they have confidence they can succeed. This IU team did not have nearly enough of those things... and we all saw the results. This team was not as terrible as they looked in some games. There were some fun moments this year. Thanks to everyone at IU Men's Basketball for their effort. The guys on our team are likable young men and I wish them all the best. It is now time for a shake-up that could and should reset the tone around the team and move the program forward. Will it? Time will tell. Lastly, for all the "true fans" of Hoosier Sports Nation: THANK YOU for keeping me informed, thrilled, horrified, and laughing all season. Keep up the good work!
  6. This group is playing like a team for the first time. Fun to watch. And the message boards today are priceless. Can these Hoosiers take out MSU and the con man on Sunday?
  7. Whoever those guys were in the red uniforms that second half... I would like to see them play more.
  8. Happy to see our players compete for a full game. Solid win against a good team that played well. Our crowd was great. Message boards are a hoot.
  9. If our guys come out locked in and make Purdue work harder than they did the first game, little brother's insecurities will pop up. Just to keep it close, IU must maintain intensity for longer than they have so far this season. Will tonight be the night they put it all together? [shrugs]
  10. The fact this guy is seriously considering IU has blown my mind. The level of NIL war chest-- and our new staff's ability to implement major change immediately-- are already apparent. Come on to Bloomington, Ju Ju... You will have the time of your life!
  11. Happy for the team to pull out a huge conference road win. Effort in the second half should become the standard going forward. This is the kind of performance that a team can build upon. Will they?
  12. We are not a good team. No advanced metrics required. Will we become a good team? Hmmmm
  13. Purdue: the only school where you have a better chance of going to the moon than to the Final Four.
  14. Good recovery game by all. Players are better, coaches smarter, managers had just the right gatorade mix... Can this group bring the same intensity every game?
  15. XJ not starting tonight as per CMW on IU Radio Net. Gabe Cupps gets the start.
  16. Very bad showing in the following areas: competitiveness, situational awareness, basketball IQ, hustle, fundamental skills, composure, sportsmanship, coaching, leadership and pride. What else sucked?
  17. FGCU played great. Chambers is a solid coach and class guy, IMO. Looked like we found a core lineup at the end. (X, Cupps, Ware, MR, Gallo) and I wasn't at the game, but it seemed like our crowd was the catalyst for that run that turned the game.
  18. In the immediate aftermath of our loss to Miami, I was too harsh in my evaluation of Trayce during his IU run. (due to his teams' performances) In truth: He always put in the work and won a lot of big moments for IU during his career. I'm very happy he made the leap to the league with style - and power. Just like TJD
  19. A few questions now that we laid another egg tonight: Is TJD the best player to never win anything while at IU? I cant remember an IU AA without a conf or NCAA title...curious if anyone knows. Which 1andDone did IU get the least from in his time here? Noah Vonleh, Romeo Langford, or JHS? What style of play will Woodson adopt now that the team doesnt have an obvious focal point for next season? Sorry about the poor showing more that the loss... we still we had more fun and big moments than in recent seasons. Peace out!
  20. Seen that happen a few too many times with this group. Too bad they went out like beeches tonight
  21. Wow. I actually feel sympathy for Purdue. Am I getting old? [shrugs]
  22. HUGE to come out of that mess with the W! Congratulations to our seniors.
  23. We never competed for anything tonight. How does that happen?
