  1. With 6 spots still open, yes indeed, we are not as good as we were last year. I remain skeptical, but let’s see who he convinces to come and fill those spots. Still plenty of opportunity to bring in those shooters. Would love to see a stud guard come in. Like I said, skeptical they can convince the players we need to actually come but they THIS IS A GOOD START.
  2. To anyone, has he re-commited to anyone yet? I know it’s expected to be Kansas. ( we know what Selif was doing while thinking about next year)
  3. Edey has already said he’s not coming back.
  4. True, I believe I saw him saying so somewhere.
  5. A BIG help ( pun intended) would be to put three or more deadeye shooters on outside then maybe he wouldn’t have to fight through double or triple teams inside and would have incentive to psss out?
  6. Number one has to occur first, which I’m becoming skeptical of happening. Yes, he did get ware and Mgbako, though Mgbako came to him, but struck out pretty much after that. Getting so many new players to mesh is going to be an issue if he can bring in some talent.
  7. Actually, not until he SIGNS on the dotted line IMHO. But saying “ it’s IU makes almost a done deal.
  8. His mom was straight faced for most of it but loved her reaction when Liam asked about Hoosier fans.
  9. Hell yes! Super excited to have you LIAM! Go get Derek and Boogie.
  10. I’m at the point I Don’t even read them or care. Call me when they’ve decided. For IU.
  11. Since I know NOTHING about him, NO. OTHERS, 🤷
  12. Late portal addition Ithiel Horton offers intriguing skillset Indiana basketball needs To no surprise NIL will be a factor, sources told HoosierIllustrated. But relationships also bring added context to a potential Horton – Indiana basketball match. Ithiel Horton played at Pitt alongside Indiana point guard Xavier Johnson for two seasons. Horton also played at UCF this season with former Indiana big man Michael Durr.
  13. It’s the last scholly for this year, but not the only available for next year (right?) So not much of a carrot I think. But sure would be nice for someone to announce.
  14. I never have expectations for any season other than they’re should good or not. Or for any player. Let the season play out. Prognostications are worthless. Like you, I need to see it on court and then base my hopes on what I see. Certainly not getting carried away. If he comes great. If not, will forget who he was. You play with what you got.
  15. the only thing I’ve seen is excitement over a highly regarded top 10 recruit ( or was )who skills exhibited previously seem to fit a need that IU has. I’ve been following IU basketball for 50+ years and I’ve seen a lot of hyped recruits come to college and disappoint and fail to perform to expectations. There are few guarantees. That said , seen few that did. I don’t count on any player until he arrives and shows it on court. But see no damn harm in the fan base getting excited or carried away even.
  16. What’s to leak? Obviously nothing significant likely. But in the past someone might report seeing them in a restaurant or here or there with the coaches. So, not an outrageous inquiry on Hoosier4Life53’s part.
  17. I’d like Flory, but don’t care one way or other on Kanon. I’d take Perry without hesitation
  18. It better as Logan didn’t get any minutes. 😉
  19. Would really, really like to land this kid and hoping doesn’t follow the latest trend but feeling a little pessimistic with the Louisville Connection involved. It appears he decommited earlier this month after Filipowski announced return so maybe the Louisville connection isn’t that big of a deal.
  20. Same article Walker was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2019 and the No. 176 overall player in the class according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He played his final year of prep basketball at Brewster (NH) Academy. He originally attended Perry Hall H.S. in Baltimore County and won MPSSAA 4A state titles in 2017 and 2018. He did not take up competitive basketball until he was 15. Walker committed to Miami over Kansas, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall and VCU.
