  1. Vaccine arrived in Colorado this morning (Dec. 14). We have a great friend, who is a health care worker. Who migrated to this country. From Ukraine. Mrs. mile and my son attended her U.S. citizenship ceremony. Got her nurse's license in Colorado. And has been treating patients tirelessly. Will be placing a call to find out when she gets the shot.... as front line workers in Colorado are scheduled to get the shots first.
  2. As far as farmer's cheese. Used to have a Polish deli that had it. Was a little drive from our house. Sadly... they closed their doors for good due to the pandemic. Mrs mile says there is a deli closer to our house that has farmers cheese...... but not all the time. Call ahead. Yes we do ours in butter.... then top with sour cream. Ummmm .
  3. Scored 23 in his return ......at Southport. Has improved his upper body.... while rehabbing.
  4. Branson is pretty neat. Been to shows there. But never the Peterson's . Amarillo By Morning - The Petersens Thanks for that mash up. Loved it. May GOD bless you. Stay safe. Duck boat tours operate in US after July 2018 Branson sinking
  5. We always topped our perogies with sour cream.
  6. Had an aunt who used to make pierogis all the time. She flew out to Colorado one year to show Mrs. mile how to make them. All kinds of different fillings. But my favorite was/is cheese. My aunt used farmer's cheese... which is next to impossible to find in our local grocery stores. Don't forget to fry them in melted butter. Polish Pierogi - Potato & Cheese Pierogi - See how to make piroshki.
  7. Never heard of the one they have for Colorado. But, stranger than that I have eaten at the one in Hawaii.
  8. John Deutcehendorf, known as John DENVER... lived much of his adult life in Aspen, Colorado. Here is another version of country roads, by what is fast becoming my favorite family out of Branson, Missouri : Take Me Home, Country Roads - The Petersens By the way.. If any HSN member gets a chance to visit West Virginia..... do it. A beautiful state with magnificent highways.
  9. Thanks for sharing. I honestly feel your pain. May GOD bless you.
  10. Happy to help. Took 3 days for delivery. Pleased during this heavy delivery time. May GOD bless you and yours.
  11. True. Thanks for the reminder. Will be ordering some the next day. Comes with 3 more Lou's pizzas. This time pepperoni for my son... as that is his fav,
  12. Full on cheese. Or sausage ? I ordered both on line. Memories. Love that you and your daughter have memories to share.
  13. Hey. I knew IU was playing tonight. But did not put one and one together. Yep. Part of my freezer is now STUFFED, with Lou's. Actually the frozen that I have had in the past is very close to what I have eaten in an Illinois store. Stay safe. This Lou's for you !
  14. So... a few days back. I chose to order some Lou Malnati's deep dish and Italian beef from Chicago. Upon checking... I found that I ordered 4 boxes... instead of one. Decided not to correct the order... almost $500. Why change it ? Arrived today (Dec. 9). Mrs. mile took one box to HSN member... Waffle Head Fred as a Christmas present. And will be doing deep dish from Chicago tonight. Ummm.
  15. Let's not forget to factor in their coach.
  16. An iconic Denver Mexican restaurant that sits close to Coors field. And has been in business for 85 years. Still family owned all those years. Has decided to close for good. Due to the pandemic.
  17. Not watching the game. Hummel and his friend from Valpo. Something about kids from "The Region" opting out of IU over PU.
  18. Plan is in place for Colorado. Crews have been in place in Denver's International Airport for days....practicing what is needed for distribution.... through out the state.
  19. I remember Matt Cross . Indiana Basketball: What a visit from Matt Cross means for the Hoosiers
  20. I'll Be Home for Christmas - The Petersens
  21. Ashey Cambell..... Glen's daughter : Carl Jackson, with Ashley Campbell, sings "Gentle On My Mind"
  22. Cosell and Lennon were great friends. Probably the reason why Cosell was reluctant to break the news. I can relate. John Lennon interview with Howard Cosell.
  23. I loved how in his first interview after the game...Jack thanked GOD first... and then his head coach. I am very comfortable with Tuttle at the controls of the IU machine.
  24. I actually saw that happen at the Chicago Induction Center. A Marine picking and choosing. Long story... but I did meet with the head guy of the draft center in Indianapolis, as I was attempting to get into the Army. He was a Navy guy. My draft number was 364, which meant I would not have to go in. He sent me back to Gary. Walked into the Army center to meet a hopping mad Staff Sergeant... who had gotten the order to let me in.... and take away a guy he had already sworn in. Ride of the Valkyries
