  1. I know we’re probably about where we should be (31), but why does it seem every other team gets a massive boost with a big win (similar records) and we seem to get no respect. Alabama is back on the brink with a lot of head-scratching losses. I know they have some good wins, but they’ve played mediocre basketball of late.
  2. Should win at home. Keep the momentum going.
  3. Think he just got benched bc he wasn’t adding much. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  4. Still don’t like some of the shot selection from XJ, but we aren’t where we are right now without him. I’ve been pretty hard on him in the past, but he’s our MVP IMO. Race and TJD were warriors on both ends. Would really love it if TJD could stop missing 2-3 layups every game, but I think he makes up for it. JG’s energy was a big key today almost as much as XJ’s. Sky seems to be the limit for him. TG was big-time as he typically is off of the bench. Kopp hit a couple big shots, but didn’t get much out of him, PS, or TB combined. Impressive to win without much contribution from the three of them. Can tell TB is really pressing. Ceiling can truly be up there if we get everybody clicking at once. No letdown against Illinois.
  5. Kopp sure has a way of killing our momentum.
  6. Like the 1st half of last game for the entire game!
  7. Probably, but still…. somebody running their mouth at you would cause you to act like that!? Tuck your head and take your rear-end to the locker room after you lose. Unless somebody put their hands on you, quit acting like a fool. He’s prob the weakest kid on the team too.
  8. What an idiot that Fla kid is…. geez, that’s all it took… the gator chomp for him to act that way!?
  9. Both… we’ll be up 7-8 at the half, but end up losing by 7-8.
  10. Inconsistent? Say it ain’t so. Surprised you didn’t get lashed for that comment.
  11. It’s life man. It’s not always fair or ideal. I have always been a big Rob fan, but I think his time is up. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I know it’s taboo to talk about future roster construction, but this is a discussion board. Nobody has to participate if they don’t want to. On top of that, I’m fairly certain I wasn’t disrespectful or hateful about it. I appreciate anybody that chooses to play here and represents us well. I’m still curious to know what the roster will look like next year. Sorry?
  12. I would too, but outside of him and the dirty one….. who can they rely on? Nobody. I definitely think we are more talented overall. They just seem to have a habit in place and a coach that recruits the right kids for his style that he gets the most out of. I’m optimistic CMW will get us there. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have beat them in Madison and shouldn’t beat them at our place.
  13. I said OSU and Purdue might be the only two we played full games. The first half of Minny was not good. But you’re saying there’s potential right?? 🤣🤣
  14. Solely using their record as reasoning doesn’t validate it. They have two really good guards and mediocre support IMO and I think they get the most out of their talent. We don’t yet = potential.
  15. It’s simple. Our halves have been drastically different in a lot of games. Maybe the answer is that we’ve just played above our abilities A LOT of times this year and like you said we’re just not very good. But after so many of those times, when is it okay to call it potential? Or we’ve played below our abilities way too much? I want lineup changes, rotation, etc? I’ve rarely chimed in on that conversation. I saw the starting lineup +\- somebody posted recently and if that’s accurate why not change things up? But I’m not one of the people who’ve been all over that.
  16. We don’t have similar talent as Wiscy? You think their talent is what won them the second half of our game in Madison?
  17. So consistently inconsistent is what we’re going with? Every game except Purdue (maybe OSU) we’ve had a mediocre to poor half. No? Is it too much to ask or expect to play a full game? My point is that there is certainly more potential or room for improvement, which is why I don’t understand the satisfaction. Sure, it’s better than last year, so I’m happy with the improvement and the staff, but I also think we’re better than we’ve played most games this year.
  18. Who is the 6th team besides the five ranked? You do realize we pummeled OSU, gave Wiscy the game at their place, and beat Purdue. I won’t speak to Purdue bc they are certainly more talented, but why are we not consistently better than Wiscy or OSU?
  19. Really? The joke early on and is still running is that we can’t put together two halves or a full game. Sure, we can be consistently inconsistent, but that isn’t playing to our potential.
  20. That “understands we aren’t going to contend for anything”? I would love for you to ask CMW what he thinks about that comment because I guarantee you he won’t agree they “understand” that. They understand our limitations, but we’ve proven capable of beating any team in the Big10. If we’re happy at 7th then we didn’t play to our potential most of the year.
  21. I don’t agree one game decides that, and not sure if I agree (still TBD). Seems like our ceiling and floor are very far apart, and we’ve seen both on multiple occasions. Playing to potential for me would be showing some type of consistency, or knowing where we’ll land (or at least close to it) more times than not. Hopefully CMW is still molding them and we’ll see some of that consistency as we get closer to and into the tournament.
  22. Shouldn’t the question be, are we playing to our potential?
