  1. I think it is, but someone closer to the program can confirm. (Why do you think Calipari got the hell out of Lexington?)
  2. As a recruiter, I get it, but man, he sucks at coaching and development. He should feel right at home in that spot.
  3. No no no...he was the villain in Happy Gilmore. Damn it...I hate when I'm two seconds too slow. 😅
  4. I thought the same thing..."...you all were wonderful and I had a great time, but on second thought, it really wasn't as good as I'm pretending it is or I wouldn't be in the portal." Just once, I'd love to see "in reality, Duke sucked. Lots of broken promises and coach Scheyer is an unpleasant *sshole when things didn't go 100% his way. He had his favorite pets and wasn't really much help in developing my game. I'm outta here."
  5. Maybe. I figured the honeymoon was still on considering the recruits he was signing, but maybe a little bit of the shine is gone. Safe to say, the honeymoon is over for Greg Gard.
  6. I remember Malik Mack at Harvard. He was a little shit but he carved IU up. Wondered then how long he'd stay at Harvard unless he really was all about academics.
  7. Absolutely could be misdirection like Ballo announcing ten minutes after it was reported he was visiting Arkansas. Or it could be true. I'll react after it's announced. RTZ gets a lot more street cred if he's in the minority and right, though.
  8. I know little to nothing about any of Duke's portal players, but it does my heart good to see the fair haired golden child program show a few cracks.
  9. That's probably the right level. Was thinking maybe ISU but apparently he didn't like the idea of a total rebuild.
  10. I don't know if it reached a vote of no confidence, but I recall the Purdue faculty, or the least a pretty substantial minority being unhappy with Mitch Daniels. I didn't pay enough attention to observe how that played out and I don't know if there were any other parallels to the IU dissension. Sounds like the majority of the IU faculty didn't even participate in the vote so this may be a case of a vocal minority trying to rule.
  11. I have a hard time believing he'll do two years in a row.
  12. On the surface, this goes to my past posts about institutional rot and the damage it's doing to IU. It appears that the president is attempting to pull IU back from the abyss. What I've read thus far, I don't think the president is any more the problem at IU than Woody is. It's a much bigger issue as evidenced by the vote of no confidence. For now, I'll resist the urge to say more.
  13. Maybe. It's a good argument. That being said, I've always preferred amateur sports to professional sports and I suspect I always will. What's the main difference between amateur and professional sports...?
  14. I hear what you're saying but I still don't like how out of hand things have gotten. I'm good with the leveling of the playing field but I don't ever recall feeling this way about the 3-point line.
  15. 🤣🤣🤣 That's not even remotely market-based. Ever heard of the term irrational exuberance? Exactly.
  16. I know. It just feels like it's out of control and needs a major correction. Paying a kid $1.2 million to play ball while he gets his degree just seems plain crazy/irrational. I'll never love it, but I'll accept a rational system
  17. I see Matt Cross is back in the transfer portal. Ages ago, he was actually an IU target.
  18. Dirty, but I like it. I hope the NIL system crashes and burns.
  19. Would love to have him as well. Will he view it as too crowded?
  20. Ever consider a career in journalism?
  21. Now I know how it feels to be taken out of context...😅
  22. Setting up for a Woody, show us what you got year. Big pickup.
