Kenpom weights for more recent games. So yes 6 games will massively skew your Kenpom ranking if they are your last 6 games

You can’t use a statistic based on data after an event to then predict that event. I can’t remember all of them off the top of my head. But Duke was in the 50s in D at the start of the 2015 tourney. When I looked it up all of them started the tourney with 1 stat in top 25. So thats the real key

That’s end of the year ranks. Which as I stated is a faulty way to look at it since winning 6 games is going to naturally raise your Kenpom ranks

If you check Kenpom stats for eventual champs prior to the touneys starting there are quite a few who have one or more stats out of the top 25. Winning 6 straight games against tourney teams has the effect of raising those values

I would still caution getting too excited just yet. Remember Romeos year? I Believe we started 12-2 and we all thought we were back. Woody might work out but it’s a different skill set to be successful in college vs the NBA.

That’s different everybody is single elimination there and yeah they didn’t win their divisions. Both both teams won more games than the braves. Heck the Dodgers won 18 more game the braves. I think it needs restructured at least. Division winners get a spot with the next two best records also getting in. Worst two records playing the single elimination game. So would have been Braves/Cards last night
