  1. Not a lot, but Purdue had five: Smith, Loyer, Gillis, Colvin & Heide
  2. They’re all mercenaries. Not blaming them. Get the cash before the rules change
  3. And a lot of open second chance opportunities. That’s why, with Ballo, we have to have some perimeter shooters
  4. Right. Both McD AAs, plus if they land Carlyle, former top 50 and HM all Pac12. That’s ridiculous talent.
  5. The players attributed it to Crean and Buckley https://www.insidethehall.com/2015/10/08/getting-better-all-the-time-tom-creans-culture-of-player-development/
  6. Crean and Tim Buckley were excellent at developing shooting skills. Yogi, Vic, Watford, Zeisloft, Bielfeldt all improved their three point shooting under that staff. We haven't seen the same since then.
  7. You can't have the B1G FOY, Pac 12 FOY and a 2 time all Pac 12 player and not be a top 20 team, top three in B1G and at least a Sweet 16. Anything less would be a failure. They will easily be one of the three most talented teams in the B1G.
  8. From ESPN on 4/15. Still looking for that elusive knockdown shooter. Indiana landed Rice, looking for others in portal Mike Woodson is wasting no time rebuilding his roster after a down year in Bloomington. The Hoosiers already landed Washington State's Myles Rice, one of the best point guards in the portal. Outlook: They're also expected to host Stanford's Kanaan Carlyle for a visit this week. Carlyle is a former top-50 recruit capable of explosive performances. Neither Rice nor Carlyle is a knockdown shooter, but Indiana is also pursuing Connor Hickman (Bradley) and Ryan Conwell (Indiana State) to fill that role.
  9. I don't know if it's accurate, but there was some chatter that Hickman had concerns with IU's offense and his visit didn't dispel those concerns.
  10. Which league has 100% free agency, no salary cap, no salary tax and no employment contracts? Also the teams/league don’t make the rules?
  11. No professional league could survive under the current transfer/NIL regime
  12. I remember I hated the guy and the rest of that AZ team. Thought they were thugs and punks. As long as it isn’t stupid cheap shots like XJ, this team could use some intimidation factor
  13. In four years, Leal has made 25 threes. Essegian as a freshman, before his back injury (which is supposedly healthy), made 69. Leal is a 65% FT shooter, Essegian is 89%. He also has two years eligibility. He's shown he can come into games and knock down 3 threes in about 6 minutes. If healthy, he's a better option off the bench than Leal. He has a high Bball IQ. He'd pick things up quickly. Neither are good defenders.
