Coach Cig will absolutely look at, recruit and and welcome 4 and 5 star kids...... He is just saying there are 2,3 and no-star kids who can be just as good.....with by-in and development through his system. jmo
Exactly, If my memory serves me, most of the former Hoosiers currently active in the NFL were these type of players.
McFadden
Feeney
Jonesx2
Sudfield
Westbrook
Seems like the majority of our high rated recruits never panned out.

I saw the tweet. Sorry kid. New staff and coaches. Maybe they aren't prioritizing long snappers as much as prior staff. Either way find a new place.
Maybe Coach Cigg doesn't think punting and FG's will be as big a part of the IU game plan in the future! I suspect most programs fill this position with a walk on.
His player page shows that he has an offer from USC. If he ends up there he can make us pay in the future.

When do the CFB futures come out on Draftkings for 2024? I'm taking the over on W's for the Hoosiers.

Wow,
This guy is no nonsense. The media best sharpen their skills. He handled them like CBK would with a bit more grace.

Winning and on the field product aside, what elements/traditions would you like to see C3 bring in, and which ones must he honor from our past? For me:
Must Keep: Hep's Rock and The Walk
Please Bring In: The Bison! Let's bring it back!!
And Never Entertain: Cam Cameron's IU logo
Wonder if ARE would of brought it back? Had a great career wearing it.

Better career record and resume than Tressel had when he got the OSU job IMHO.
Hope this works for him and IU.

I'll ask this question in here. I think there was some place in Southern Indiana near Franklin maybe that had these huge tenderloins?? Wasn't sure if someone knew the name of the restaurant.

If your ever in Key West go to Typhoon Harry's and try their "Country Po Boy", It's a country fried steak topped with two eggs (your choice) covered in sausage gravy.

It's almost a certainty that whoever gets hired is going to be here less than a decade.
Go get whoever is best to get the program in a better position over 3-7 years for the next round of hiring.
I wonder what the list is of Power 5 programs that have had a coach longer than 10 years currently? Saban. Swinney. The guy at Oklahoma State. Maybe a couple others?
Iowa coach has been there a while

The only recruit I recall losing to ND was Luke Harongody. There was also a point guard we recruited but I can't recall his name.

True,
A good buddy of mine just turned down free tickets to the OSU v ND game because he said they can't beat good teams and he can't stand to see them lose. I told him you should be used to it after the last 25 years. I wonder what IU's MBB record is against top 10 teams in this timeframe? Seem to be on similar paths.

My go to heat level at Joella's is their Ghost Pepper. The "Fire-In Da-Hole" is borderline inedible. Amazing the jump in heat level between the two.

If you ever go through Terre Haute (yeah, I know... I was born there) try a fish sandwich at The Bush Restaurant. Use to be The Bramble Bush when friends of my Mom and Dad owned it back in the day, but they've always had a great fish sandwich and a pretty righteous pork tenderloin too...
What's your opinion of Taco Casita. We used to eat cheap food there all the time back in the 80's while in college.

Is he a comparable player to Hummell?

The ones in Indy are the same with kiosks for ordering and no table service. I have also noticed that the burgers have shrunk in size. I prefer to go to Culvers or Freddys now.

I don't really mean to pick at anybody with my posts on this...
I see both sides...
But the bottom line is, Coach Woodson has a program to build, and he's not going to compromise in building it.
I'm not thrilled that Fife looks bad in this simply by Rabjohns' post, but I understand the way the world works nowadays...
I hope Dane winds up in a better spot for him...
I just hope he doesn't pursue a career as a sports radio host

I think this is whole thing is blown way out of proportion. all of 15 people know or really even care about this outside of IU fans and people on the various IU boards.
It didnt work. For one reason or another. Assistant coaches come and they go. I dont know why an assistant coach leaves any other program, and frankly i couldnt care less.... of other teams assistant coaches.
Good point. I recall last season Illinois lost an assistant to UK and rumors were that this would be a big problem for Underwood. Last check Illinois had an ok season and UK lost to a 15 seed in round 1.
