I think he's better than bench guard..

17p 4a 3r and shot 39% from 3 in conference play last year.. gets to the lot. Shot over 5FTs per game in conference.. hitting 82%.

Agree…. That “good bench guard, but not good enough for IU” evaluation, sounds similar to how IU felt about Braden Smith. He never got an IU offer. Pretty sad. I wanted him at IU when he was at Westfield.

Can't operate that way. He's here for next year unless a replacement coach is hired in the next two weeks. Can't be looking for a coach in the summer.

Exactly,…. any/most major D1 schools wouldn’t do what the IU administration/BoT’s is allowing. There is something to this situation. It just seems “bought” with conditional promises….

    Ask the Simons

I hate that they are willing to take a huge risk/gamble for another year under Woodson. I totally feel the Coach Woodson and Co. is currently “On the Clock” as we speak. Yes, it’s been said that he’ll be back, but I feel it’s condition Al. JMO…
I really feel IU doesn’t want to be associated with the term, “We don’t eat our own!”

Here’s my take,…..because he’s the former IU great Mike Woodson and earned back to back NCAA births his first two years is the only reason he’s getting a fourth year,…..”conditionally”.

The donors have upped the money to land the players Coach Woodson needs. Also being able to keep players like MM, MR along with already committed TG and AL will help sell player commitments to Coach Woodson. If key IU players decide hit the portal and Coach Woodson isn’t able to land an upgraded roster through the portal,…..even with more money to throw around, I don’t think he survives the summer. JMO

The boosters/donors aren’t going to want to throw more money without landing some top level, desperately needed position players. Like I just said, if Coach Woodson doesn’t lock down and create a dramatic roster improvement through retention of players and the portal, he probably doesn’t see the 2024-2025 season. 4. My all time favorite band is Pink Floyd… I literally listen to them every day at some point.
This is how I’m feeling now about the state of the program. The first part of “Hey You” really resonates with me right now…lol

    enjoy….

Hey you, out there in the cold
    Getting lonely, getting old
    Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
    Can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light
    Don't give in without a fight….

You realize it’s not some big conspiracy right? The folks that claim he’s getting preferential treatment in conference play  either don’t realize or forget that they didn’t lose in non-conference against one of the hardest schedules in the country. We can win ugly if we have to.

The Sycamores deserve a bid way before we do.  We're only getting in if we win the BTT.

Our chances of winning the first game will be tough without Galloway, let alone the whole thing.
However, I think we could get in with 3 wins, (This is with a healthy Galloway) based on the selection committee taking team injuries into consideration.

I was told he was out for the rest of the season. Let's hope it's not true.

If so, it’s extremely unfortunate. However, this gives X a monster opportunity to show he can help this team moving forward. You could tell at the end of the Michigan State game that he was satisfied we won, but the look on his face showed how disappointed he was in his overall performance. Had we lost that game, he would have taken the brunt of that, even though Trey was hurt. It was definitely bitter sweet. His overall play was awful, but his positioning and last play save the win.

We need to be a little thicker-skinned, then. We could just, you know, listen to AL.

He's a human, he's allowed to have an opinion, a voice.

This just goes to show you how some kids feel about their coach and what he/she does for them. That's what is most important to them,....that they're happy and feel they're in the right place.

I was super surprised with the support what they said about Coach Woodson and the current state.

It's no secret that I feel we need a change in direction and a fresh voice to this team, but it's not up to me. At this point, I will just have to wish for the best and a stellar off season recruitment in the portal. It has to be that way as well as some new and improved assistant coaches and hopefully an improved Coach Woodson. That's a lot of positive changes needed for this team. Who knows what will happen.... I also wouldn't be surprised it at the end of the season, Dolson comes out and makes a change.
