  1. Welp, if some of Woodson is interested in some of these high profile, late portal players,....he's got some money to play with. I wonder if he will kick the tires on a few of these guys?
  2. .... it could be bittersweet, because there could be a possibility of players we love in this group. Coach Cignetti is not going to change for players when his "system" has worked, (at least everywhere he has been up until now).
  3. ouch... That's not gonna happen on his watch! The truth hurts.
  4. Pretty obvious how important guards are for Purdue. Zach had 0 assists last night. His guards were none existent, but I also give UConn's defense a ton of credit.
  5. As we all know, he is always on this board..... He seems like a pretty respectable guy, but good grief....it's an IU board.
  6. Hold it right there salt water “Turt”! IU was the one and only IU because Coach Knight was captain and we were practically winning a National Championship every 4-6 years to get Knight his 3. Then the wheels fell off. lol Purddue will never be IU unless Painter goes on run similar or better that Knight’s. 🤓
  7. I wonder how many, if any Purdue players in portal in the next few weeks? Zach will be gone….
  8. What is a dead period? During a dead period, all in-person contact between college coaches and recruits is strictly prohibited, meaning coaches are not able to talk to recruits on-campus, at their high school, at sports camps or even when running into them while out. While this is the most restrictive of all the recruiting periods, athletes and coaches are still allowed to communicate via phone, email, social media and other digital communication channels.
  9. Wow!....What a cool story, jumping from NAIA to D1, if it pans out! He's a 6' 10" kid from LaGrange, IN.
  10. Lol Actually it didn’t, but that was my best attempt of that 70’s game show “Concentration” using memes. I’m done. 🤪
  11. Please for the love of god get someone to lock down dudes/dorks like this. I agree with everything you said, with the exception of the bolded. Look, like I said, It couldn’t stand watching that guy and how showboated and carried on. Quite honestly, I read it as something much more personal and judgmental because of his outward appearance. JMO You may have not intended it that way, I don’t know, but my response was because of that. Yes, I totally agree, we need to desperately find those type of skilled assassins like that. I absolutely love the unique, international aspect he brings to American NCAA BB. I can just do without his boastful antics.
  12. Agree, BDB….. I know this a free board and opinions are well, opinions,…..but man you can really tell the character of some of these guys on here by their carefree, bold comments about players. I will be honest, I couldn’t stand watching Tominaga’s cocky play as he sliced up every IU defender. Though I don’t care for that kind of showboating after he scores, however, the most impressive thing about him was he could back it up. If he wore an IU jersey I would welcome him with open arms. He plays with heart, passion and toughness, something we need a lot of.
  13. .....don't forget, for a big man, he shoots free throws pretty well. Well, he's had a lot of practice. lol
  14. I can’t believe how much Braden Smith gets away with using his forearm to shove off his defender. He does it all the time. I saw it several times vs. Tenn.
  15. I sure would like to find a post game from the coaches and players…
  16. ….I bet you a “dollar to a donut” that Coach Woodson forgets and calls him Bryan! lol
  17. Heath Kizer @HeathKizer2024 Beyond grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to everyone who helped make my dream a reality! Thrilled to be a part of the Indiana University football family. Just getting started… Go Hoosiers! I'm sure he's a PWO, but I sure love seeing an Indiana kid get a chance to play big boy ball. He's from North Central HS.
  18. Cal said is team is young and when he looked back on mistakes, it was freshmen.
  19. …that’s why I said interested and not contacting him. Just like we are all interested in him now, coaches seeing him, will definitely keep an eye on him hoping he goes to the portal.
  20. I can imagine with this performance he will get many schools interested.
  21. Can we get Gohlke from Oakland as a grad transfer? Good grief….. he is insane!!!
  22. After this past season, Cupps could be labeled a “good/average” bench pg.
  23. Agree…. That “good bench guard, but not good enough for IU” evaluation, sounds similar to how IU felt about Braden Smith. He never got an IU offer. Pretty sad. I wanted him at IU when he was at Westfield.
  24. Exactly,…. any/most major D1 schools wouldn’t do what the IU administration/BoT’s is allowing. There is something to this situation. It just seems “bought” with conditional promises…. JMO
