  1. Yes it was A. M., but a much different problem on last years team. Most of last year’s players didn’t enjoy playing together as a group due to A.M.
  2. Absolutely not!!! Poor shooting and poor execution! Good grief! Missed free throws and missed layups…. It’s on the players to put it in the hole when you are right in front of basket.
  3. Surely your not accusing me of commenting negatively about Brownstown's competition? Leave that to the "think they know it all" critiques against small school basketball players.
  4. Very respectable! Here’s want the critiques will say/ask….. ”What’s the quality of your competition in a small school compared to bigger schools where there are more athletes to choose from?” I feel these are the type of players you see at Northwestern, Iowa and Wisconsin….. Those kind of players we wish we had at IU.
  5. ….says Mr. Brownstown himself!😉 If so, Woodson and Co. needs to “kick the tires” on this kid. Not a better story than IU recruiting and landing a stud player from a small, rural Indiana school high school.
  6. Very proud of Marshall for his commitment to IU basketball and to his IU education. God blessed him with strong athletic skills as well as brains! I hear dental school is a tough gig! Good for him....Go IU!
  7. If anything, there may be flooded roads for the schoolbuses tomorrow.
  8. Yep….I could do an e-learning day tomorrow.
  9. One of my all time favorite players at IU. Everything about him exuded hard work, dedication and commitment to everything IU.
  10. I guess I’m basing it merely on his defensive skill set. IMO, he’s THAT important to IU right now. He’s a prototypical, “give it everything I’ve got and more”, when he’s on the floor. If he had an equitable offensive side to go along with his defense, then he would be dangerous.

  12. “Mr. Galloway, reporting for duty, Sir!” I would say Trey is on an Island all by himself with this IU roster.
  13. He is definitely a difference make on the floor like Brad Davidson….minus the deadly 3pt shooting.
  14. In 9+ losses last year we weren’t even close to leading at any point in the second half of games…..
  15. I know your trying to be funny, but it's a perfect example to how devoted and invested certain players to IU, the coaching staff, the players and the fans. If I'm an IU player, I don't want to disappoint any of them, so I put in the work needed. Those kind of players are called "gym rats". You can't keep them out! They're also the type of players you hate to play against and wish you had on your team. We don't have a Brad Davidson type player on our team and haven't for decades......
  16. Here’s and something to think about. For example, over the past several decades we haven’t consistently been able to beat the likes of Ohio St. and Michigan State. Coach Matta’s Buckeye teams were loaded with talent and had the wins to prove it. Dane Fife was with Michigan State for 10 years and had his hand in recruiting and coaching top talent for the Spartans. Both have been consistent, winning programs all while IU has spent over 20+ years trying to find it’s way back. The point of my post is this,…..”We couldn’t beat ‘em so we brought ‘em to IU.” This entire coaching staff has been part of successful programs for years. When are the players in question going to take full responsibility for their constant shortcomings and get better? How much extra work do “some of these kids” put in on their own, outside of practice, shooting free throws, 3 pointers, jump shots etc.? I’m not trying to single any player out, but there comes a time when a coach has encouraged, inspired, motivated and shown a player what needs to happen. It’s then on the player to dig within himself to find and produce those results if he wants it bad enough.
  17. Thank you for this post. Short, sweet and to the point. I think many may be overlooking or forgetting that this is year one with a brand new coaching staff, new beliefs, new mindset and different priorities. Coach Woodson and Co. wants a certain type of product on the floor. He is getting a mixed bag of results due to the current personnel. Way more positives this year that any of the past 2 or 3. Coach Woodson and Co. will right the ship. We may just squeak out an NCAA birth, but if next years crop looks much more promising.....
  18. I understand your thinking S. I just like that we have finally established some legit keystone pieces. I would hate for them to be considered as trade options because of their high value. These guys give the Colts and edge and an attitude. It’s almost like they are “family”. We have to find other ways imho…
  19. I’m sorry, but posts like, this after a game, are just absolutely ridiculous.!!! Good Grief!! 🤬 I try to bite my tongue, but MAN, I’m just as frustrated as anyone. The best thing Coach Woodson did last game was to bench those 5 players! That’s takes a bigger man to do what he did.
  20. ….ONLY via the Pacers, young man! Assembly Hall will NEVER be your court….
