I'm not sure the NYC market even cares about college sports with the multitude of pro teams there. Or, if it does, Rutgers doesn't play a big role. More likely you would see all the transplants watching their alma maters rather than Rutgers.

Kansas would be a perfect Big Ten fit. Then kick out Rutgers.

It's a lot simpler than all this generational angst.

Every coach in every program sells kids on becoming part of the "family" an having a "family atmosphere." These kids are basically saying the coach doesn't care about them off the basketball court. They were lied to and they're upset about it. More than that, it sounds like the WANT to have that family atmosphere but get nothing from Gard to support it.

Simple enough without dragging "micro aggressions" or "kids these days" or whatever else into the conversation.

At this point, it's a red flag for me if guard highlight videos mostly show dunks/layups. Show me 5 mins of a kid splashing it in from long range. Can't have any more guards that shoot 20% from 3.

Does UNC, for example, have any trouble finding and watching top players in the state of Indiana? Has to be more to it than that.

One of the articles on him mentioned that the slow release is due to making sure he is all squared up before taking the shot. I assume the shot will get quicker with more reps once his body gets the "squared up" muscle memory set.
