I was poking around on Peegs and someone posted they heard through a back channel that both injuries were minor and not long term. The poster went on to say he was told that MR could probably come back in later in the second half but was told to stay off the foot for precautions. It's not my info, I just repeated what was heard/posted on a Peegs thread just now.

I’ve stayed pretty close to that thread but don’t remember seeing the part about Malik being able to come back later in the 2nd half. Which thread was that in?

  3. I have 4 seats in Section E, Rows 5 and parking available for the Penn State game - $50 for all.

Same seats in Row 4 are also available for the Minnesota & Michigan State games so up to 8 together and 2 parking passes for the Minnesota & Michigan State games. If anyone wants to attend a game or 2 shoot me a pm.

Hope Derik Queen is comparing the Maryland “environment” to the one at IU tonight. I’ve seen more energy/better crowds at junior high games than in College Park tonight.
As frustrating as the Hoosier game was tonight, the crowd (without students) was good.

I agree that our crowd tonight was good, especially for a student break game against what many thought (hoped) would be a walkover team.  No doubt that the crowd was stunned early but got energized several times when it counted and really brought it in the last 8 minutes when they could have just cashed it in and left.  No comparison to Kansas game atmosphere but wasn't expected to be - exceeded my expectations for sure.

It'll be interesting to see the crowd we bring...I know @ledies22, @Hoosierinbham, @eddy4iu, and @Indy1987 will be there...Maybe get some early intel as to what kind of crowd we have?

Reading the Auburn boards, they think they'll have a big advantage...Only and hour and 40 minute drive from Auburn to Atlanta...

Just seeing this but the crowd was AT WORST 50/50 and I'd say more like 60/40 IU.  Would have been nice to have our band and cheer squad there to counter the Auburn presence of same as well as their home PA announcer pumping things up for the Tigers at every chance.

Scott told me that finals limited us to taking critical personnel only and that Auburn's finals were all but over  and they only had a short drive to Atlanta.  Had it been closer to Indy they might have taken band and cheer squad - sure would have helped for momentum in my opinion but certainly much more going on to contribute to the loss. Hockey line substitution philosophy and lack of guards stick out like a sore thumb.  I left my party in the seats at the 10 minute mark and went to the concourse to sulk.  Still brushing myself off after that one and combined with my experience in Vegas last year I find myself wondering why I continue to travel for this?

Has anyone received their ticket assignments for the Harvard game in Indy yet? Coming up Sunday we'll be a week out from the event, but I've heard nothing.

Pretty sure that the Harvard seat assignments are in IU ticket accounts but as of a day or so ago the digital tickets still weren't downloadable.

I started a HH thread last week. Maybe we can merge these?

My wife and I are coming down from Chicagoland for the Rutgers game. HH was a bonus. Doubt I'll stick around for the rapper. Maybe catch the first few minutes if I don't have to wait long.

Going to try and get to Bloomington by lunch time and go to Nick's. Not sure how early I will get to the stadium. Not concerned with getting the front row and standing in line. What time should I get there for rows 15-20?

Sorry but I really don't know.

  8. There doesn’t seem to be as much buzz on IU forums about Hoosier Hysteria this year as in years past. Is that an indication that attendance will be down for the event or are folks just not talking about it? Does having Gucci Mane involved boost attendance? Anyway, who all on this board is planning to come to HH? Where are you traveling from? Are you coming with family and young kids (who might both love IU basketball AND Gucci Mane) or meeting up with friends in Bloomington for Homecoming weekend? How early do you plan to arrive to stand in line to get good seats? At least there will be food trucks outside Assembly Hall starting at 4:30 this year so should make standing in line more tolerable. Do you plan to stay for Gucci Mane after the basketball activities are over? Again, just curiosity questions because the hype of HH seems to me to be lower key this year vs previous years.

My IU classmates.  While the success on and off the court during my 4 years at IU will never be matched I pray that we are starting to see a semblance of the success these guys and their coach achieved being buikt by an IU great.  It's been far too long coming over the past 30 years and way too many students have not tasted the nectar of the gods that is IU basketball dominance. Go Hoosiers!!!!

My big IU day with McNeeley commit got even better when I returned home from C-bus, OH a bit ago and my season tickets AND a new IU hat I ordered were waiting for me in my mailbox. I'm like a kid at Christmas and only now starting to catch up with the boards and all the excitement. No doubt that I'll stay up WAY too late tonight (morning) - LOL!

True...but we ARE talking about 18 yr olds who have never made any decent money prior to this.

If he thinks IU & KU are the same, then I can see NIL be a major consideration.

One major consideration is where he believes he has the best chance of winning a national championship in what he believes will be his only year in college.

Self’s pitch is forget about relationships you’ve built with IU staff and do what’s best for you to win a NC. Had KU gotten traction with Cooper Flagg, a good friend of Liam’s, that just might have tipped the scales.

Odd question but I like to plan. Does anyone if we'll be the 430 or 7pm game on 11/20 in NYC? Doing a Thanksgiving dinner for 100 or so and I want to make sure which shift I sign up for. Serving at 7 or cooking everything early so I don't miss the game.

If we beat UConn we'll be the later game, if not we'll be the earlier game.  Probably doesn't help you plan but time to roll the dice and pick a winner in game 1.
