    Why wouldn't you?

6 until Ware declares, 7 after that.

In your post I quoted, you said 7 and you didn't include Ware.  But yes it'll be 7 when Ware declares.

record-keeping-- 3 in portal, XJ, open scholly, Liam🤢, Walker

    7 open spots currently?

For the he must go now crowd. Look at who we've been on for a couple years in recruiting. For the main 4-5 guys in 25 if I said we would land 4 of them because of the kids/families belief in Woodson, appeal of IU, NIL... would that make you give pause to the he must leave now?

Or do you think a new coach could come in and pick things right up and recruit Haralson, Sisley, Mullins, Brown,etc....

Disappointing year but it is a factor. So is hiring and firing every single 4 year cycle. These are factors that have to be considered. I mean the only reason a guy like May would come here is because of his history....and the same for Pearl but otherwise this job (because of the hiring and firing) has lost it's appeal. For 20 years it's been a Coaching cemetery. That cycle has to stop.

Recruits also know what a coach on the "hot seat" looks like.   If I'm a recruit, I'd be thinking twice about committing to IU right now.  Wouldn't be suprised if we lost Queen because of that perception.

Nobody wants to continue the 4 year coaching cycle.   But I just can't see next year being any different.  Our system is broken.  With the talent we have there's no way we should be this bad.  I hate that it's come to this.  Prolonging the change will only turn more fans off.

so..very good chance we finish 16-15 going into BTT.  looks like we'd probably be 3rd last in the conference?  we'd have a decent chance to win the 11 v 14 or 12 v 13 game, then lose the second one, so 17-16.  if we end 10th, we'd likely lose the 10 v 7 game and end 16-16.  would be the second worst season we have had since 2010-2011.  we had an excuse of the rebuild that season.

I'm struggling to see two wins, let alone one.  🤔🤔🤔

Winning is winning. You don't just forget how to do it. Malik, McNeely, Galloway, Cupps.

Buuuuuut--- just make sure your two portal guard additions are about the exact opposite of XJ, in many ways, and fit the mold of the Ytown St coach and we're fine.

100%.  Problem is will the staff prioritize guards this time around? Or will they ignore what we all saw last year that was needed?

I don't think they would be scared to come here but I don't think they would feel the need to come here. Why would a successful coach at a power conference team leave their current situation to come here. If they have proven they can win where they are at and make as much money why would those coaches come here.

A coach that plays 2nd fiddle to football at their school maybe.  Or a coach that sees the vast resources and great facilities that IU has and their school doesn't.

How many other schools spend money on their basketball teams like IU?  A good coach could build a freaking dynasty with what we have. But we keep hiring the wrong people for the wrong reasons.

Why, to fetch his water? Do you think CMW would listen to Beilein?

Haha, you're probably right.  He needs to though. This staff is missing what Matta and Fife brought to the table(whether Woody listened or not).  Our assistants may have good recruiting skills and ties in AAU but what else are they doing?  Like did they even try to convince Woody to fill that last scholarship with a dang guard?

For what they are making you'd think they'd be mentioned as replacements every time a school cans a coach.  I can't see Woody getting the axe this year(should the losing continue).  I can see him pressured to do something with the staff though.  Something has to change this off season.

If I am a guard and a shooter I would have to question if Woodson's offense will put me in a position to succeed. They don't run very many plays to get the shooters a good shot.

I like to think that's cause we have no shooters.  I think our bigs would be way more generous with kicking the ball out if they were confident we'd hit shots.

For the schools, yes.  For the fans it is simply this: the team got their @$$ kicked and that made for a bad event (from an IU fan perspective).  Once that narrative starts to play then everything else you had a problem with that day gets amplified exponentially.

If we won or the game was a hard fought and close loss, nobody is talking about cheerleaders.  Negativity tends to compound.

We're you at the game?  I was.  Believe me, IU fans were talking about no band and no cheerleaders well before tip off and long before we started getting our asses handed to us.  If you were there you would have seen the advantage Auburn had with the home court feel.  I'm sure that didn't show on TV.  The band was literally behind the basket and did a hell of a job distracting our free throws in the first half.  I guarantee you UK, UNC or Kansas would have had cheerleaders at least.  I get a school like Tulane wouldn't bring theirs but we are IU. And it was a bad look for us.  Even the Auburn fans noticed. The guy behind me commented that we couldn't afford to send them down.  I chuckled and turned around and said "well we did just fork out 15 mil to fire our football coach".  Money is not an issue when it comes to IU basketball.  This was just another dumb IU mistake.

  9. Was at the game.  IU may have had more fans but it was close.  Having their band and cheerleaders sure made it feel more like an Auburn home game though.  It was definitely an advantage for them.  I'm sure Dolson(who was there) will use money, distance or finals as his excuse.  It was a bad look and yes the IU fans there noticed long before we collapsed after 10 minutes.  Our fans that come to see these destination/neutral site games spend a lot of money to attend. Most have come to expect our cheerleaders, the pep band, all the flags and pregame pep rallys.  We got nothing and a terrible performance by the team.  No we probably still lose this game no matter but still... it just seemed like a half ass'd effort all around by IU.  Sorry but we should be all in for IU basketball in every facet.

Relative of mine just moved to Columbus, Indiana and for some reason with the same antenna he used in Indy to get all the channels isn't picking up any of the local FOX, NBC, CBS,etc....anyone have a reason of why that could be happening?

Everything I'm reading online says it must be a cord issue or wires not installed correctly. Just curious.

Most of the TV broadcast towers(except CBS) are on the North Side of Indy.  Rabbit ears might not be able to pick the stations up.  Might need an outdoor roof antenna.  One trick they might try first... get a piece of coaxial cable.  Strip the insulation off one end a few inches exposing just the copper.  Take the other end and screw it into the antenna connection on the TV.  Put the copper end close to a window.  Then see if they come in.  I actually do that to get my locals here in Charleston, SC.  I do have to move it occasionally but it works for me.
