  1. To be fair, Mgbako was shooting like 100% for a bit. He could only regress from there.
  2. To be fair, Holtman did have more success than Archie
  3. Isn't the JMU D-line coach an IU guy? I would be surprised if he doesn't come as well.
  4. He is following Sorsby, Tayven Jackson, and Dexter Williams. That's just me checking at a glance. However two of those guys are technically in the portal
  5. I feel at this point it might be best to hire someone without ties to IU. Need a clean slate, something new.
  6. I don’t understand. If we are grabbing a position coach like Hart, then we should just go get ARE.
  7. I thought he would be a good fit as he has been the only candidate brought up that can actually scheme an offense creative enough for us to win games. Especially given how hard it is for us to recruit. He was listed as one of the guys we scheduled an interview with.
  8. This should’ve been our guy. Losing out on coaches from the Midwest to Mountain West teams is not ideal.
  9. I disagree. We have been consistently bad.
  10. We can get people to stay if we pay them appropriately. Allen doesn't just stay because he loves Indiana so much, look at his contract. Dude is making $5M per year. For example, Matt Campbell has stuck it out with Iowa St for all these years and he doesn't necessarily have ties to Iowa. Plus we will be in a power 2 conference with multiple marquee matchups every year.
  11. Fired in his 2nd year. Just disappointing. I want this program to succeed so bad, but this hire has always been questionable. We can do better. I don't care if they have less experience, just find me someone who year after year, has improved an offense. Don't think Rod Carey is necessarily the answer beyond this season either, but we will see.
  12. New conference schedule was released. Our schedule is even more difficult next year
  13. The injury report has me pessimistic today. Henderson out, Bradley Archer out, and James bomba is questionable. Not sure what we have left at tight end. Toomer and McCulley also questionable.
  14. I actually didn't mind the offensive game plan and think the shotgun option thing we have going can be successful against teams that do not have the same kind of athletes on defense. But a big reason our defense was able to be successful is because the offense took their time and while they may not have picked up many yards, they milked the clock and let the D catch their breath. In the first game of the season I think it was important not to get completely blown out and demoralized before approaching much more winnable games.
  15. Unfortunately, I feel we would be lucky to win 4 games. I can only see 3 wins max and our win total on DK is only 3.5
  16. Fair enough but he was kinda buried on the depth chart. Had less than 5 passing attempts according to ESPN. That being said they did have an exceptional qb room last season. His high school team was stacked, with kids on that team now playing at UCLA, OSU, and Kansas. But it is nice to have someone who has had a history of success We had a very similar situation with a player by the name of Jack Tuttle. Look guys I want this kid to be just as successful as the rest of you, but I just don't see this as a huge get atm. Really hope he can play, because he is going to have to. I don't want to come off as pessimistic but we really shouldn't have high expectations for Tayven. I want this upcoming season to be great just as much as all of you, but this has the feeling of a prime future "triangle" post that upsets everyone. I see a lot of similarities with this transfer and that of Jack Tuttle's, and if he can play like Jack maybe we can get back to a bowl game. I want this to work out just as bad as everyone else. I'm one of the students that actually still stays the whole game. Just trying to temper expectations I suppose. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than get my hopes up and disappointed again 😞
  17. Glad to grab a QB recruit here but I am still a bit skeptical. He has never played meaningful collegiate snaps as a QB. I feel like if he wasn't from Indiana or TJD's brother no one would really think anything of this commit. Really hoping we can still get a guy like Nolan or Wright out of the portal.
  18. Here is my receipt. Always though this would be a good pick up. Fit was obvious
  19. https://www.wdrb.com/sports/source-indiana-asks-louisville-about-canceling-3-game-football-series/article_4424c430-8ed4-11ed-8845-73ae1ab0b15e.html What are we trying to do here? Add an additional easy game like Idaho? Feels like a bad look on the program. Of all teams to dodge, Louisville wouldn't be at the top of my list.
  20. If we don’t get a transfer QB we should just revert McCulley back to the position. No way we can have someone back there that is immobile. I was somewhat hoping they’d reach out to Mike Wright from Vanderbilt. Felt like he could have been a decent fit for us…
  21. Don't think a transfer was ever in mind. I think this means he is using his extra covid year. We will need his experience in the backfield next season.
