  1. Terrible to see this in a high school game, playing with less skilled players can be dangerous. Blew out my knee on a alley-oop because other players lacked situational understanding. When you are moving with speed and go to elavate there is a lot that can end a career. I never was the same... on a positive note; the two metal pins in my knee tell me when rain is coming. Vertical went from 40 inches to 4 in a blink of an eye.

Reneau had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks tonight.  Don't try to tell me that MM deserves to be the 4 in a 3-guard lineup.  Just don't.

Fine then MM needs to be the 4 in the second squad and we can play two 5's with the three guards. Reneau has not shown he can play the 4 (at least on defense), He may with time, and he should get those numbers against Army. They had one true post player in the game at any time and he was on Ware. The combination of MM, Ware, and Reneau has no flow (and does not spread the floor). Maybe it is the guards... who knows, but the offense looks terrible with that combo and the defense is not much better. Which is why people are looking for answers..... So put me in the camp of changing the line-up... I know everyone on here just wants IU to be successful. We just don't always agree on how.Go Hoosiers!

    Reneau can’t pass…or play defense.

He isn't a 4 and does not move like a 4 and then he has to switch off onto guards. Makes him look bad. We are not doing him any favors trying to make it happen. Same with MM.... he is a 4 not a 3....at least that is how it appears.

I think we will have to change the lineup and putting either Reneau or Ware to the second unit.

I have been saying the same thing. Starting two centers and a forward is not working.

    Cupps/ Gunn(I hope not)

    MM

  5. It is not an either/or situation you can (if you had the talent) sweep your rival and win the Big Ten regular season. Since no team plays the exact big Ten schedule, using it to determine the big Ten pecking order is pointless. The last point is the Tournament, which Iu's drought is legendary and sad........ However, Purdue has only won it twice. I think that is low for both schools. People forget that many coaches hated the tournament and felt the late tournament hurt their NCAA tournament performances. Since the Big Ten has not won the NC since 2001, maybe they are right. We are also the last major tournament to finish.

  6. 43,000 + 17,000 = 60,000 in Tickets value for Indiana

    vs

    22,000 + 22,000 = 44,000 in ticket value for Kentucky

Seems like a big win for Indiana. We get nearly an extra Assembly Hall worth of seats to sell.  Plus if we win in Indy it is a neutral court win which has greater value over a home win. Let them think they won in the deal, lets run to the bank with the extra cash and win value. Just my two cents.

I don’t think anyone is surprised that X, Stewart and Kopp are starting. They have the most experience mixed with production of all of our guys at those spots.

You just misquoted quoted me ("Woodson's guys") so I thought you felt I was making a deal about Archie's players vs Coach Woodson's players. I was just trying to clear that up. However, I do feel Rob as more experience than the others, but lacks in production. I rarely post and now regret even adding my two cents.   Go Hoosiers!

I don’t know that being "Coach Woodson's guys" really has much to do with it. 3 out of the 5 starters committed to Archie Miller first.

Just my guess, but I'd guess the main factors to start were:

    1. Talent and performance in practice

    2. How quickly they picked up the new system

    3. Experience.

I am curious how much young players, namely freshmen will play initially under Woodson. In the NBA typically rookies outside the top 5-8 or so picks don’t play as much. It's very much a veterans league, so how will that translate to college?

Coach went to the portal and got shooting, a point guardand a backup center. Our guards were not great last year on offense. Parker Stewart was brought in by Miller as a shooter, but did not play. I just don’t see why it is surprising to some that X and Miller would start with Parker. I think the discussion was on the guards. Little doubt TJD and Race are starting. I never said, “Woodson’s guys”. They are all his guys, but he went to the portal to bring in X and Miller so he likes what they bring. I agree talent and practice performance will be the leading factor. It will be interesting on how Tamar is brought into a major role. Just not surprised, not making it into a Archie guys vs Woodson. Go hoosiers!
