  1. Im just so effing sick of how much the refs let Purdue get away with every single game.
  2. Purdue hand checking like crazy and nothing gets called
  3. If they actually enforced this rule with him the way it is written, he would be ejected from just about every game.
  4. No doubt; there’s a reason there were like 7 players with 4 fouls at the end of the game
  5. Gotta be Galloway, but we also don’t win without Leal. I’d nominate him for “clutch” player of the game.
  6. This team has been frustrating to watch this year, but you have to give them credit coming back from an 18 point deficit
  7. All you gotta do is blow the whistle
  8. It should be: final two minutes - reviewable with no call on the floor
  9. That’s the whole problem with the way this rule is implemented. Heavily slanted in the offense’s favor
  10. I hate this “call it so we can review it” bs
  11. Galloway definitely sold that lol
  12. That was absolutely not a foul on leal
  13. These refs are so whistle happy
  14. It’s not just that; he’s got no hustle or sense of urgency
  15. I can’t think of any social media that you could objectively say is good to read or take part in
  16. I don’t think it’s so much that NW didn’t foul a lot: they did. It’s that Purdue never gets called for it. It’s delusional to think that a D1 basketball team playing a game the other team is making as physical as possible can go nearly halfway through the second half without being called for a single foul.
  17. That’s honestly worse than the still frame. Good example of the kind of stuff he gets away with on a regular basis.
  18. Purdue fans are delusional about this. They honestly believe this outcome is nothing more than the result of “how they play drop coverage defense under Painter.” It’s okay to admit that you got the beneficial end of the whistle. It doesn’t make you less of a fan. Like I said earlier, this kind of officiating is hurting Purdue come tournament time.
  19. Okay, it's still egregious even with those average percentages. There's simply no defending this; simply admit the refs bailed you guys out tonight and let's move on. Edit: And yes it IS that far off: about 20 percentage points in each direction.
  20. You know what I hate more than how bad the officiating in college basketball is? The fact that no sports media calls out bad officiating when it happens. How can all these talking heads rag on players day in and day out, but never say, "Courtney Greene and crew really had a bad game tonight. Missed/incorrectly called several game changing plays and allowed a team's reputation for "not fouling" to cloud their judgment on the way to a lopsided 46-8 free throw differential for the game. Collins was even ejected at the very end of the game because he was so livid with the poor showing by the officiating crew." Instead, we get the BTN crew recapping the game at the halftime of the Rutgers game, mention the free throw disparity, but play it off like it was a legitimate outcome of the game, while never even mentioning Collins getting tossed or the controversial calls at the end of the game.
  21. I'm getting into this even deeper: Purdue shot 63% (not great) from the free throw line, and MADE 21 more than NW TOOK. They were +23 from the line for the game, and needed OT to win.
  22. And people wonder why Purdue struggles in the tournament. They spend all Jan and Feb getting their offense insanely padded by the refs on simply ludicrous free throw disparities like this, and then when they get to the tournament, they can't play the way they've played the previous two months, and BAM - they lose to double digit seeds.
  23. Pretty sure it was the obvious offensive foul on the previous possession. Glad he got in the refs face, and I hope he says an earful at the press conference. Refs did just about everything they could to keep Purdue in this game.
  24. Are we going to review everything now? Come on
