  1. So, you're bragging about your tiny sliver?
  2. You really should not do that in public.
  3. Your 99.4% sliver looks smaller than my supposed 99.6 percent sliver.
  4. Temperature change definitely and it got breezy here about 15 minutes before, which was good because it cleared the clouds out. Edit: was not with my son in totality. Stuck working from home at 99%.
  5. My son just sent me a picture from totality zone. It's amazing, but he said the picture doesnt even do it justice.
  6. Starting to cloud up at the Fouls homestead. Not good.
  7. Scheduled to get 99.6% at my house. Proballbly slightly better since I'm a little north of town. Wife and son are taking some back roads to get into some of the lengthier totality time frames. Daughter has remote learning from school today, but has to work after. I has to work th his weekend on a system upgrade, so couldn't very well take the day off in case things go awry. I am working from home today at least.
  8. Kentucky, as a program, lost a major recruiting advantage with the onset of NIL. Since it's no longer illegal for players to receive money, recruits dont have to take under the table payment to afford that BMW they wanted. Lord knows no players were going to UK for the girls.
  9. Working from home today for better eclipse viewing. No, I'm kind if sorry I'm not in the office to get the pulse of Big Blue Nation.
  10. Okay. So, I'm reading about the Helms Foundation Championship that Purdue holds so sacred. Try and keep up with the math here. The Helms foundation was established in 1936. Purdue won the Helms Championship for 1932. However, they were not actually awarded the Championship until 1943. So, Purdue won something 4 years before it existed and 11 years after they played. That's some serious Purdue math going on there. So, I ask you. If they win tomorrow night, will it actually be real, or will it be some more 'magical' Purdue math, turning fiction into reality?
  11. MLB needs to change the 5 inning rule for starting pitchers for weather delays. Imanaga clearly deserved to get the win for that game. The Dodger starter got the loss, why can't the guy whose team was up 6-0 when the weather came in get the win?
  12. Team goes 5-4 over 162 and they are a 90 win team. I'll take it.
  13. Lazy Sunday. 28. Didn't want to think too hard on this one. Struggled with the 30 homer category for some reason.
  14. I'm not rooting for them and I think UConn will win. That said, I'm not going to become suicidal if they win. I have close family and friends that are Purdue fans. My kids went to school with TKR. I've known TKR's grandparents for over 40 years. Sometimes people around you being happy is more important than a basketball rivalry.
  15. Most rational people are not. Oh wait, we're talking about @Zlinedavid. Applies to irrational people as well.
  16. I was watching MLB Network on opening day. Adam Wainright was on. He talked about how St. Louis did it, but went on to gush about Cincinnati.
  17. 12 today. Went old school and Big Red Machine.
  18. I hear you. Whenever I go out and shoot in the driveway with my son, it gets more embarrassing each and every time. My range has probably been cut in half and my shooting percentage might be down more than that.
  19. Shiny new thing syndrome. As a fan base, we get excited about each and ever commit. Every recruit is automatically better than what we have now, and most of them would have started for our undefeated '76 team. Heck, if @IU Scott announced, we would tout his church league stats and pencil him in as the starting 2.
  20. Regarding all the posts about putting TJD on their all-time Hoosier team. For me, selecting a player for an all-time team is difficult when taking into account 50 years worth of fandom. As I get older, my criteria of what makes a 'favorite' changes. As a kid growing up in the 70's, I idolized players for their performance on the court for the Hoosiers. Didn't matter what they were like off th he court because in that day and age you didnt really know, and even if you did, the stats were more important to a kid like me. During the 80's and 90's (late teens through mid 30's) I favored players that I had seen play in high school (Damon, P. Graham, Edwards, Henderson, among others). I gave special designation to Keith Smart, not only for the Shot, but for the way he dominated the last 6-7 minutes of that game. The dark days of the post Knight era through the early Crean years just aren't a tine I look back on fondly. Even 'good memories' like 2002 and players like Eric Gordon and DJ White are not high on my list. 2010 to present. Watford was a favorite of mine even before the WatShot. I loved Vic until the way he left the Pacers. He lost me there. Yogi was a slow burn but over time he grew on me and I now consider him one of my favorites. Romeo I prefer to think fondly of his high school years. Nothing about the Archie years is a good memory. I really, really did not care for Archie, and that will forever taint that period for me. That brings us to TJD. I can honestly say that as a Jr. and Sr. at IU and this NBA season have pushed TJD to the pinnacle of my personal fan favorite list. I love everything about the way he plays and represents IU. He is not only a great player on the court, but someone easy to like by the way he conducts himself off the court. The only NBA I watch are Warriors games, and that is solely because of him.
  21. Everyone on the list is a Hall of Famer https://www.thebiglead.com/posts/longest-tenured-players-with-one-team-mlb-history-01hqjrha0dzb
  22. Yes, that's an empty square. On Yankees All Star, my brain originally thought Bill Dickey (correctly), but my fingers typed in Bill Terry. And, I'm offended that the grid gave @Zlinedavid a better score for Dan Wilson than it did me.
