I hear you. I loved the raw talent. Remember the mistakes Oladipo made in the beginning, but he improved fast. I think Geronimo might do that.

Geronimo, Franklin, Lander and Race. I admire Race the most, but he is the most replaceable IMO. To me , Geronimo has the most upside to offer. He can really be a game changer with all that athleticism.

We need a PG, too

While i have no idea how hard recruiting can be, it seems this is a good time to be a new HC trying to upgrade a program. The transfer portal is growing every day, and i just read that Florida and Syracuse players are jumping in. Why not capture a few experienced quality guys from the portal now and also recruit young guys for the future? I bet Woody and staff do fine.

I saw Mussellman’s dad coach the Golden Gophers. Thats really old.

Clem Haskins was a Black coach for years at Minny and he was touted as a grouncbreaker. He was fired after a big cheating scandal. Minn had Tubby Smith and he was clean IMO, but didnt have a great record.

A low number compared to % Black players in DI, but a high % compared to overall population in US, which is around 15% i believe.

I had same thoughts. Arch looked especially little in the middle of that huddle IMO. Players looking right past /over him, it appeared, and he wasnt commanding their attention. CMW will not have that challenge to deal with.

Agree. Look what happened to Syracuse when Buddy was harrassed and missed tons of shots.

I dont think any coach would have much success with that group as core. Also need a proven PG and big man at minimum.
