I'm honestly surprised they did not suspend the game,  Conference opponent, 3 hours away by bus, pretty easy to find a new date and make sure everything is safe before continuing.

A first I was concerned to, but when I saw a better picture of the piece that fell, it was too small to be a structural component. Probably a cross brace for supporting a speaker or something else that was light weight.

Probably during the build, someone just set it aside and forgot it. The vibration finally shook it off. Should have been at least one bolt fall off with it if had been attached.

Injury to JG.

I think they should bring back X as a 3 and D guy and only secondary ball handler.  Just let him go crazy with the pressure and not have to worry much about running the team.

I also think you bring him off the bench, at least for the first few games.  He won't be in game shape right off the bat and you expect rust.

A small piece of square slotted tubing.  Usually used by electricians and HVAC guys commercially.

Great win, watched most of the game and we looked like the better team the whole night.

One thing for Maliek is to recognize when he is being doubled and look for the kick out.  He constantly tries to fight through the double and to the rim, rarely does this go well.  Once he find that, man its going to be something special.

JHS looks like a pro player.  He looks like the more relaxed athletic confident player on the floor.  He is smooth and just flows into everything he does.  Makes mistakes but even those look professional.  Not sure he will be back next year if he continues to play like this all the way through the tournament

TJD is just a constant.

I didn't hear, why no JG?

I wish Joey Galloway moved in he same smooth fashion that JHS does, his jerky, frantic way he moves around the court makes me nervous all the time lol.

Loved seeing Kalab get heavy minutes and plat well.  Hope we see more of him.

Serious question here though?  With the way the team is playing and how they are gelling and playing together, what do you do when XJ gets healthy?  Do you immediatly start him?  Do you slowing being him in off the bench as the backup for JHS?  Do you mess with what is working?  Good issues to have.

Agree completely on Reneau. Love the kid, but he has to improve on recognizing the double and kicking it out to shooters. Between him and TJD, those guys did not recognize the right play when doubled a lot of times yesterday. They probably missed Kopp 4-5 times for easy, simple passes that would have resulted in wide open 3's.

Agree on XJ as well. I'm probably a bigger XJ fan then most, but the reality is that he's missed a lot of time and JHS is a legit, NBA guard. You don't take the ball out of the hands of a guy like JHS at this point.

JHS is our point guard at this point. XJ needs to come back with a "anything that helps my team win" attitude. Serve as a defensive specialist and secondary ball handler and scoring option.

Almost like Phinisee's role last year, but if XJ accepts it he'll be much better at it.

It could he tricky for the staff integrating him back in.

On the other side of the coin, I was wondering what in God's name Holtmann was doing...

Sensabaugh was keeping it between 12-15 point lead by scoring pretty much every time down the floor after the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half... And around the eight minute mark, he gets taken out never to return. In the post game Holtmann said he wasn't trying to send a message to Brice.

Ok coach, then what the hell ARE you doing benching the only guy generating any offense for your club? 15 point leads are not insurmountable with 8 minutes to go. There's no shame in going with the Underwood model and just telling your best scorer "go to work" if nobody else is scoring.

Without Sensabaugh, Ohio State shot 36% overall and 2-14 from 3.

The OSU posters in the forum that @rico cited have every right to be pissed. I'd want him gone too.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sensabaugh simply calls it a day and readies for the NBA draft if Ohio State continues to lose...

After looking through various Bucknut sites it appears that Sensabaugh is part of the internal problem with the team.  From what I am gathering he does not listen to the coach.  Take it fwiw but I saw numerous OSU posters say this.

My personal take is the Buckeyes simply don't play team basketball.

Oh, I won't argue that they don't play team ball, but just looking at the stats I posted, don't you think it's apparent that they needed him? At least last night?

Long term, just don't start him. Give him minutes off the bench. If he doesn't listen to coaches put him back on it. Either that or tell Key and Sueing that Sensabaugh is the go to guy and they have to realize that.

But last night I thought Holtmann sacrificed any chance the Buckeyes had of winning when he yanked him. And I'm not sure that's the best strategy...

LOL.  Can't argue that.  It all falls on Holtmann's lap.

XJ is need for defense more than anything else. There are times we miss that. Work him back in slowly. Take a few minute from bates Galloway Kopp and give JHS a little more rest.

we get another ball handler and guy that can off in the offensive end every so often.

would have been nice to have him against NW

We need his ability to break down the defense, always, as well.

I think I know what OSU's problem is.  Holtman should put about half the team on a diet.  Seems like they have some fatties. :coffee:

Glad someone else noticed this. I felt like they had about 3-4 guys who were a little thick....and I don't remember which thread I posted it in but Malik is looking thinner. Much better shape. He looks like he's dropped a good 15 upstairs.
