Game day parking options?

Recommended Posts

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a football game, 2019 maybe?  I got tickets to go to the Maryland game in September.  After that I found the single game parking passes page but they were sold out on the IU site.  I looked on SeatGeek, StubHub and VividSeats and with fees they are all in the $80s for a single parking pass.  That’s more than I paid for the 4 tickets!!!!  😳

Someone please tell me there’s a better way to do this.  Are there other lots, like that church across the street where you can park day of?

I would try parking at that church…that is still an option. But arrive early!  There is also a small lot on the SE corner of Fee and 17th you could try.

Grass lot?

There are three different churches I park at sometimes... One across 46, one across Dunn, and then one across Fee.

I have no clue why that game's parking passes are sold out, though, crazy.

You can park for free at Kelley School of Business garage on the weekends. Only about a 15 minute walk to the stadium from there.

Those are all good options, thanks!  I can see it now -- 15 minutes of making my kids miserable as they hear stories about how mom and dad had to walk to and from Kelley every day.  Hahaha!

@btownqb the only thing I can think of why they are all sold out is that they are offering the discounted tickets for that game.  It really is insane that 1 parking pass would be more expensive than all 4 tickets.  Yikes.

Hey guys, didn't want to start a separate topic, but is I-69 passable now from Indy ?  Or, is it better to come down I-65 to Columbus and over on game day. Haven't been to a game in years. Thanks

I-69 from Indy is complete and open.  There is no reason not to take that route.

I get twitchy if I get below 80% and my wife functions at 20% like it’s nothing.

it’s funny we will scramble for the charger when I’m at 77% and I’m as stressed as she is at 17%

Same with the gas tank.. I don’t get twitchy under 3/4 but i like to keep it topped off… now the wife, if she has 30 miles to empty she’s good for a few days 🙄

I believe those are all pay lots where you have to purchase in advance... and I'm pretty sure I saw where parking for the remaining games is all sold out.  I was very happy with the church across the street -- $30, they had bathrooms people could use until gametime and plenty of space from what I could tell (although we did get there about 2.5-3 hours before game time).

Glad I found this topic. I'm heading down for the bucket game - first game in 5 years or so for us. The parking info on IU's site isn't very clear. Are any of the grass lots south of the stadium still general admission on gameday?

All paved and grass lot parking is sold out for all remaining games.
