Big Ten Conference Preview 2024-25

IU picked #3 in this conference preview which is one ranking below there #2 placement in the Big Ten Preseason Poll. Purdue and UCLA were picked above.

Seemed very favorable on Ballo who is projected for Defense POY, Newcomer of the Year and a spot on the First Team All Conference.

I def think it'll be a three horse race between UCLA, PU and IU.  The finishing order?  Not sure, however, I could see it easily coming down to the last regular season BIG TEN slate of games to decide either the outright winner or share of a BIG TEN banner

If defense & rebounding don’t improve 

 

USC beat Gonzaga…exhibition so maybe it’s nothing

This same time last year me and my good IU fan broke down all things IU and “knew” at a minimum where we’d be.

Agreed, but most years recently all preseason experts pick us around like 9th or so and our fans argue and they're wrong.  If everyone is saying around 2nd or 3rd, I'm kind of believein.

If all the experts picked us 9th the last 2 years, then Woody exceeded expectations by finishing 2nd in 23 and 6th in 24...Good job Woody!

Except, it's not true...we were pretty much a consensus pick for first in 23, and anywhere from 4th to 10th last year...
