Louisville Post Game Thread

Buckner should be forced to sit in the front row of every game until Woodson is no longer here. This simply is not sustainable. Getting boat raced by an average team at another high level event is pure shameful. 
 

This ancient style is not conducive for modern basketball. Remember when he said we were going to shoot more 3s? Lol….Where do we even go from here?

really wish they'd just send Mike home and not let him even go into the locker room after the game.

We play out the season...

I'll won't be the first to say it, but that was a total embarrassment...we got outplayed in every facet of the game...I never thought the floor for this team was that low...

That said, it's one game, and I've seen other IU teams lay an egg and still have a successful season... tomorrow and Friday will say a lot about this team and coaching staff...but my hope for this team has dimmed quite a bit...

This season was supposed to be a top 4 seed / 2nd weekend season: right now, we’re so far away from that. Total repugnant performance

Same old, same old. Even over the first four games, I struggled to be enthusiastic, but what little flame I had was pretty much extinguished today.

As much as many of you want to bad mouth the coach (and I don’t blame you), this ALSO has to fall on the players.  They stunk. There was no fire.  They were sloppy.  And, frankly, I thought they quit when they got punched in the mouth.  Plenty of blame for everyone with this one.

That is on the coaching staff. They assembled this group of rental players. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Mike Woodson team not show up and then quit

I’m not letting the coaches off the hook.  Not at all.  I don’t disagree with you.  But the players have to take responsibility for their effort on the court too and I thought it sucked.

I’ve felt for a long time that IU just attracts divas…style over substance. Best team money can buy. But money doesn’t buy effort and smarts. So now we play ugly ball and still think our poo don’t stink. Going to be a long season folks. We will win some games and people will say it’s a blip but it’s a symptom of the program. These games will keep showing up.

You know it’s bad when you drive home from Grammy after picking up your kid and YouTube tv gives you the option to catch up through big plays and there are 14 and all are UL highlights.

It's not just a one game thing. It is very early in the basketball season and to come out with no effort looking lost on both sides of the ball is a monumental problem. Something is very wrong with this team or the IU system?
