The Daily Hoosier
Logically a three-point line that is farther back is not optimal for the pack-line, but Archie doesn't seem concerned. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-will-the-new-three-point-line-hurt-archie-millers-pack-line-defense/
Drroogh
Sorry TDH, seems the Wiseman story is stealing your thunder. Great article as usual and thanks for being a part of the HSN family!
NotIThatLives
Call me crazy, now I'm going to pay much closer attention, but it seemed to me in these first 2 games the defense has been extending out and denying more??? I remember a Smith steal that led to a huge jam and Rob getting one that may have also led to a Smith jam. Thanks for the article. I'm going to be watching more closely today. dgambill
To me...it shouldn’t make a difference. It’s further away to close out on the 3pt line but then again teams could always spread their defense out further if they wanted before. Sure there are going to be longer closeouts but also I think the 3pt percentages will drop as well because even though elite shooters won’t be effected I think the avg shooters will.
