zerawkid
Just commented, trying to track this guy down. Wanna see if he wants to chat IU or see a game some time.
IUFLA
He hasn’t lived in Indiana for a long time, but the distance hasn’t changed his love for the program. Fred has been a Hoosier for as long as he’s remembered, and that won’t ever change. “It’s just in me.” Me too, Mr Farris, me too...

IU5355
It was a great moment at the game. They gave him a shout out! You could see his excitement. I'm glad the team gave this man a win.

That’s a good one..but the Indiana connections with both Hoosiers and Rudy push them to the top for me. Hoosiers always will be my #1..I will watch it every time I see it on..and with the feeling of like I have never seen it before..😂
BEKA
Such an awesome story. Kudos to the IU Athletic Department and others for seat upgrades and helping to enrich the experience for this gentleman. Showing the Twitter video on the jumbotron was the piece de resistance. RJPaisley
Oh WOW. Just stop. I reacted that same way the first time I walked into Assembly Hall. It's pretty awesome. Great story. And I live really close to this gentleman.
IowaHoosierFan
I haven't been to AH since i was like 12 or something. I ahve seen the Hoosier play at Iowa something like 8 times and then watched them beat Kentucky in Round2 3 years ago which was a awesome. But i have wanted to get back to an AH game for so long. One of these days

Interestingly it got an Oscar nomination for the Music Score...along with Dennis Hopper for his supporting role.

Cant imagine how great of a time it was for Mr. Farris. Glad he got a good game to go to.
milehiiu
Assembly Hall was under construction when I was a student. Saw it going up. Completed while I was serving our great country in the Army, during the Vietnam War. Had an opportunity one summer to visit. My son and I were able to find one open door. We ceased upon the opportunity. Fully well expecting to get told to get out. No one there. We looked around. It was amazing. Never been there for a game. Keep telling myself.... someday. Maybe. Just maybe when I reach 76, I will be able to share what he experienced.
IUFLA
Last time I was in Assembly Hall, the great Alex English was a sophomore for the visiting South Carolina Gamecocks. But Tom Abernathy stole the show by shooting perfect from the field and the ft line...can't remember the numbers, but IU won...

Offer still good after all these years - What are you waiting for?
