Going to need $8-10 million to make anything happen in the portal, especially if someone like Cupps gets that much, going to take a lot more to bring in people that can contribute to winning.

A legend in his own mind only.
Definitely a legend…..for people over 70.

What’s everyone’s opinion of Dusty May and his coaching acumen?

So on the whole "play inside-out" thing; when's the last time the National Champion had a post dominant offense? This is an actual question not some sorta smart @$$ gotcha question.
Maybe Duke with Jahil Okafor in 2015?

It’s long overdue.

FWIW I've also heard Cronin hasn't been connected to IU. There's a lot of stuff swirling right now but there seem to be 2 constants. Pearl and May.
Do not want May. Might as well rehire Archie. Just as big of a risk.

People bringing up red flags….is there such a thing anymore? It’s kind of a tired and used up term. Coaches can more or less pay players and make all the phone calls they want anymore. Just bring someone in who can win consistently and win big. The only difficult part is finding the person who can do that and do that at Indiana.

We play Purdue next week, is anyone looking forward to that game? Genuinely would love to hear from even one person who is excited for it.
Nope. About as excited for that as one would be for a root canal or watching paint dry.

IMO, it’s time to move on but if Dolson wants to give Woodson another year, he needs to be aware that if it fails, he goes down with the ship. As far as candidates go, my list would include three names and three names only. Chris Beard, Bruce Pearl or Scott Drew. No more projects or IU connections. Anything less than one of them and it’s a failure and more of the same.

Jay Wright has no desire to coach again
I know. He’s just an example. Need someone proven of a high caliber. Don’t know who you get to come here tbh that’s proven. I think we’ve had enough projects (Archie, Woodson, Davis and Crean to a lesser extent) that I wouldn’t feel comfortable going that route again imho.

At this point, I’m ok with him gracefully getting canned. I don’t know who you bring in though. Not completely sold on Dusty May. Lewis, Fife, Alford….not sold on another “IU guy” being able to get the job done. Stevens and Donovan is never happening. Unless you offer the world to Jay Wright, Scott Drew, Bruce Pearl or someone of that proven caliber, not sold on the ability to bring in anyone any better

The officials fault. Moral victory regardless. Can add it to the countless moral victories and do-good moments of the last decade or two. A new slogan perhaps, “Moral victories live in Indiana”. Fits in with “They sure do play hard” and “We do things the right way”.

This one could get ugly. Hoping for the best.

Welp, time to mute it and wrap gifts and listen to a podcast.

Will most likely be another underwhelming hire.

A lot of talent, some puzzling coaching. I want to see this team take 20 threes a game. Going to be frustrating season at times. Not much else to say atm.

Getting that bad? I don’t spend much time on Twitter or X or whatever it’s called these days. Hell, I don’t get much time to visit the boards much anymore.
