Which is crazy.  I read up about the history of conferences and stuff like that from time to time.  Another one was Tulane and Sewanee: The University of The South used to be in the SEC lol.

Btw, love the moves Woodson made.  Besides Dame moving on, got some stability on the staff and a much deserved bump up for Walsh. Wonder if he will backfill Walsh's role?

Just to be clear...I'm not advocating for him as IU coach either, but I do shake my head when I see Houston play in tourney over what could have been.

Sampson definitely would've won at least one title.  He was rolling before being ousted.  Had some talent lined up with Terrell Holloway, Devin Ebanks, Bud Mackey, Matt Roth, Lance Stephenson and probably one of Yancy Gates/Kevin Jones coming in 2008-09.  I know he had Ray McCallum Jr coming in the following class.  He also already had Jordan Crawford, Jamarcus Ellis, Armon Bassett, Eli Holman, DeAndre Thomas, Brandon McGee and Kyle Taber in the fold.  Sucks what happened but is what it is.  Cool to see Houston winning again.

Texas Tech and Duke.....this is a good one.

IF Fife said that to Filipowski and his family, that's flat out dumb and another reason he needed to go.  Don't need negativity in and around the program.  

I want an ace recruiter, maybe someone that can get some of these guys to shoot better.  Do not care if it's an IU guy or not, that's an overrated concept anyhow.  Land big fish and get the players better.

Can't this program not be an embarrassment for one year?  Anyway, if Fife was acting like that, then good move.  Hopefully this doesn't become a pissing match and everyone puts IU first.

This.  I think he's a good coach but Maryland could've waited to take some bigger swings throughout the tournament (Sampson, Cooley, Musselman).  Wondering if Willard was always the target or if they already swung and missed (maybe several times.
